Pope takes sides in a science debate

“All of us have a responsibility, all of us, small or large, a moral responsibility. We have to take it seriously. We can’t joke about it,” he said. “Each person has their own. Even politicians have their own.”

Ahead of the Paris summit in 2015, Francis wrote a major encyclical, or papal letter, on the care of the environment which backed the gradual elimination of fossil fuels to stem global warming.

Shouldn't the Pope be preaching about Christianity? Or if he wants to delve into politics, radical Islam has committed genocide on Christians in parts of the Middle East. Why not comment on that?

The AGW debate is fundamentally about climate science and not politics or morality. I presume Francis' background is in theology and not atmospheric physics.

His is just an opinion---and it's no better than mine.

I am not going to take sides in this debate. I would however like everyone to click the link. It looks like someone beat up the Pope. The man was pressured into saying these things........

And... your acceptance of Papal bull is demonstrably situational and selective. Do I have to explain everything to you? :rofl2:

Did I say anything about marriage or abortion, no, nor did I say anything regarding my opinion of the Pope or his teachings, but just like a good conservative, you framed everything the way you want to see it, fortunately the world don't work that way

the pope is no more wrong than every other delusional dumbass who believes legislation and man's fool ass efforts can change the climate and astronomical movements. this is what will cause some rapid climate change...http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/goes-proton-flux.. this kind of thing has been happening with increased frequency since the the last mega blood moon. The Lord Jesus Christ will save the planet and all who try to replace Him are of antichrist.

He is, what he says is based in Christian doctrine, his interpretation on how it applies to reality

Do you accept his utterances on AGW and reject them on gay marriage and abortion? It's OK if you do, I just want to see if you will commit. :rofl2:

Ahhh, the leader of the pedophile-protecting, invisible-man-in-the-sky cult believes in another fantasy.

Whodathunk?
