Has it made "the turn" I've been hearing about for 2 weeks? Didn't notice the meteorologists mentioning it. Could it go any further West?
 
Good to hear they're getting positioned with help and supplies. How are the seas by G.B.? Maybe 10ft or so? Keep safe.

Picking up. 10-12 ft. 28-30 kts out of the SE. Been picking up steadily. Seas will be double that before morning.

She's coming straight up through Key West > Naples > Ft. Myers > St. Pete > Tampa > Cedar Key > through the panhandle just east of Tallahassee and into GA

I hope so..it clung onto the Cuba coast all day. No gas, no rooms, i doubt anything is open -maybe a downtown bar
 
What a roller coaster ride Irma is. The 11 o'clock update says it won't re-intensify and will be a tropical storm when it gets here. And I will probably wake up and it will be a 5 again. Irma has shredded my nerves. :D

The latest 11pm Alert.....looking a bit better for us. She's still pushing a bit more to the west which is good for those of us in the center of the state. Plus FOX reported it may come ashore as a 3 instead of a 4 which means it could a 2 when it is west of cities like Orlando and Ocala. It should a 1 by the time it's at the top of the state. Hopefully, this trend will continue...we'll see.

It needs to churn up the earth in its wake, depositing salt and maybe locusts. Not really smite without that. Maybe a passover angel of death thrown in for good measure. Except I don't want the S Florida Jews harmed, just the turbo fundies.
