Your assumption is correct. Now with regards to the campaigns of GOP legislators, it would be cool if you held them to a similar standard.

Somehow I doubt that American legislators consider the input of tracksuit-clad foreigners when they are mulling over domestic legislation. Something about national sovereignty and the irrelevance of non-constituents, perhaps?
