Pelosi on violent Antifa members: Lock them up

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., says the "violent" members of Antifa — those members of the anti-fascist group who allegedly attacked conservative demonstrators over the weekend in Berkeley, Calif. — should be arrested and prosecuted.

"Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts," Pelosi said in a statement Wednesday, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. "The violent actions of people calling themselves Antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation."

The article pointed out that the famous California liberal distanced the Democratic Party from the group.

In addition, Pelosi told the Denver Post’s editorial board: “You’re not talking about the far left of the Democratic Party — they’re not even Democrats. A lot of them are socialists or anarchists or whatever.”

Thirteen people were arrested and five others were injured Sunday after more than 100 black-clad, hooded protesters with masks and weapons attacked and overwhelmed peaceful demonstrators.

"They came with black masks, they carried weapons, they were pounding people down with their fists and feet," University of California-Berkeley College Republican Ashton Whitty told Fox News' "The Story with Martha MacCallum" Monday night. "I knew I had to get out of there.

looks like she finally had to say something -being in her back yard..where are the rest of the Dems?
and why was the permit pulled for the peaceful demonstrators,and why was antifa allowed to bring criminal gang weapons to the park?

Still don't understand the right's obsession with this group of dimwits

The only logical explanation is that they, especially the right's demogogues, are still attempting to rationalize the President's remarks by creating a false equilvance to the "unite the right" crowd

This is where there is such a disconnect w/ you guys.

It's not so much the "violence" of Nazi groups. It's what they stand for.

Try to really think about that.

But at least the farce is out there, and she is making sure the Dems don't look quite the fool we all know they have become.
Something many of us have been saying must have struck a chord.

Nazis have a right to protest -it's politically protected speech..so does antifa.

Funny how all the emphasis is on nazis while antifa is acting the part of fascists

Hopefully you are condemning all violence...............

IMHO the reason she is now calling out this movement because they & other movements are a threat to her power & the other entrenched DINOs.......... The ones that sold the American workers jobs to red china & offered them an increased mini-wage in return... just sayin!!

Trump is President, as you are doing here, he equated the dimwits on one side with the dimwits on the other, but this group didn't plan, orchestrate, or implement the "unite the right" rally organizing and empowering historical hate groups in the US. The Presidemt made it sound like it was just a Saturday afternoon brawl between two opposing groups
