“You have people who are very fine people on both sides,”

At BEST, he missed an easy opportunity to try to bring the country together a bit after a pretty explosive incident. Really, a softball.

But it's much more insidious than that, and I think you know it. Your stubbornness in ignoring this man's glaring flaws as a leader continues to astound.

I think it is your side that is being insidious. I don't doubt your specific sincerity, but the problem is you are unknowingly a useful idiot for the deep state.

Trump said violence on all sides was wrong and you got butthurt over a completely banal statement. You've always been looking to disagree even over the non-disagreeable. He literally said nothing controversial at all but you can't let the opportunity of branding all trump supporters as KKK members pass you by. It's sad.

The bolded - which is a complete lie - is what is sad.

My main problem w/ this is that Trump clearly isn't as passionate about condemning racism & racist groups as he is about condemning countless others - the ones who personally offend him. Those groups DO see a friend in the WH, or at least someone who won't oppose them. And we have seen that in the comments of their leaders, which you don't seem to hear or see.

trump literally condemned the groups you wanted him to condemn but it wasn't enough. I really have no idea what you wanted him to say. Nor should he even need to disavow the KKK's actions anymore than nancy pelosi would have had to 'disavow' the guy that shot republicans at a baseball field.

It's really easy to brand all Trump supporters as KKK members when Douchebag Donald refuses to denounce the Klan and the alt-right. If you don't like it, then he needs to learn to how communicate more effectively.

I don't even think Trump himself is a racist.

But I think he knows that white supremacists & xenophobes make up a small but very passionate segment of his core base of support.

he did denouce them though. He specifically denoucned them lol. The fucking idiots on JPP are complaining he "didn't denounce them enough" or they don't like that he pointed out that the left isn't allowed to murder people with baseball bats and that violence happens on all sides (which it does).

I don't believe that all Trump supporters are KKK members and white supremacists...
But I do believe, and it is obvious that all all KKK members and white supremacists are Trump supporters.

There's a video montage of Trump denouncing racists, the Klan, David Duke and whoever, going back to the 90's. I doubt there's a living politician who has denounced racism more than Trump.

Goblin is right: Trump could denounce racism as he gets out of bed every morning and it wouldn't be enough. It's gotten beyond absurd.

the haters are all whipped up this morning. Everything Trump said was accurate.
The problem is it wasn't politically correct- forget the Truth ;go w/Pravda

If he didn't mean it, then why did he say it?

Ok, let's say some white supremacists decide to march in support of a monument. Some other monument supporters show up who disavow the supremacists, yet feel strongly enough about the monuments to show up even though they hate Supremacists just as much as anyone else.

Not everyone in Charlottesville who supported the monument was a Nazi. Not everyone who was there in support of removing it was an Antifa thug.

It's a fact. And that's all Trump meant. Quit falling for fake news. You're smarter than that.

It's a monument to Robert E Lee, not to someone worthwhile. There weren't any decent people present, because no decent person supports the CSA or its leaders.
