Whites take to the streets, finally. Trump immediately Tweets to calm violence

No, Trump, there was not violence from "many sides". There was violence from one side. Future protestor should come armed did we can shoot Trumpist terrorists who may attack us.

Protesters vs anti-protestors.

Takes two to tango. If you want to attempt a lame political point go start your own thread.

I call on the governor of Virginia to use live fire and artillery to take down this terrorist demonstration in Virginia. Leave no terrorist alive.

His tweet was a tepid comment made to show he at least weighed in on the violence, but he didn't actually call out the white nationalists who started it because they're his base.

Good.

He shouldn't say any more than Obama said to their counterpart, Black Lies Matter - which was NOTHING.

That is the point many choose to ignore. A protest was scheduled due to the vote to remove a confederate statue. White nationalist decide to join coming from out of state. They show up in helmets, shoulder pads, elbow and knee pads. So then Groups like ANTIFA decide to show up with helmets shoulder pads, elbow and knee pads. Both have signs with over size wooden handles. Both have members with shields. BOTH were looking for violence.

And the point is this. No matter how much most of us abhor the white nationalist message unfortunately they have a right to a protest. There would not have been violence if a large portion of the counter protestors did not come looking for that fight.

I assume the white nationalist had the permit to demonstrate.

Whose brilliant idea was it to grant Antifa a permit? Or if they didn't have a permit why didn't the cops cordone them off from each other or make arrests on those who were demonstrating without a permit?

I think they did have a permit.

What is not strong about this when you have two sides looking for violence:

President Trump admonished the day's tragic events, saying in a press conference: 'We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, violence, on many sides... The hate and division must stop, and must stop right now

And this:
President Trump added: 'We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one

See, it's always political with the left. Always.

What they want from Trump is for him to say something that would implicate his base in this event. Trump has his base and not much else. So if Trump could be badgered into saying something that would alienate his base, it would be a political victory for the left.

Trump is nowhere near as dumb as his critics say he is---I think most of them know better, actually. So Trump included the 'many sides' in his rhetoric.

But Trump doesn't badger easily. It's a big reason he got elected.

"White supremacy" crap is worst kind of racism-it's EVIL and perversion of God's truth to ever think our Creator values some above others. [Huckabee via Twitter]
