impotent old man threatens NKorea if they make threats~unlike the 1,000's in the past

I don't think this is as funny as it seems many seem to think this is. It's pretty scary. Trump said we would bring "fire and fury" twice. I feel that must have been fed to him.
It sounds very much like the ridiculously boastful language of a martial arts warrior in a manga magazine. Not sure the Republican base reads those.
We should nuke Pakistan. They are the assholes who gave NK the nuke tech. I've heard some say a North Korean nuke is a foregone conclusion, that we are going
to have to get used to the idea of them added to the club. Of course when they do we provide same to the South? This could be our last clear chance to fend this off.
I hope there is a better idea out there than that. Korean war was fought by proxy. What would Russia do if we preemptively struck North Korea? Could the US
bring a security council resolution that Russia and China would sign off on for war against NK? What assurances could be made to them that the US would not use
North Korea to its strategic advantage against them in a post Korean war chess game? Obviously spoils of war is no motivation. What does that country have besides
a few million starving humans? How many of them would we need to kill to get a clown like Kim Jong Un to surrender? How do we save South Korea from casualty
should we "fire and fury" their leader or country. I'd love to see all the various war plans and the probabilistic estimates of how they each unfold both as to in theater casualties and chances of escalation outside.
 
It's amazing that the same posters who can rail against Russiaphobia, hawks, neocons & warmongering for months can turn on a dime and be all "fire and fury! Yeah!"

not a world war, and this isn't MAD -that was a 2 way street, against rational actors.
We are flying B-2 stealth bombers over NK and along the DMZ. Frankly I haven't looked at the artillery surrounding Seoule.

You have to pick apart his defenses,and counter his offensive ASAP while taking out the ICBM's first strike.
I can't war game that;but surely this is being done.

If it gets to the point where NK is capable -you have to treat that as an existential threat to the USA

I'm not convinced Bowl Cut is insane.

He's almost certainly some sort of sociopath but I'm not sold on the insanity bit. He may be playing Crazy for expediency. And if he's not insane, MAD should work on him to some extent. Why wouldn't it? If he gets vaporized he loses his kingdom or whatever.

As mentioned, he's already blinked by threatening Guam instead of LA or Portland. And that's a sign of sanity.

So, you don't see a distinction between possible election meddling on Russia's part and losing a major city to one of NK's nukes?

Guam is a much easier target-just by distance .

Investigating "election meddling" - as you now seem to admit - is not warmongering.

NK is a threat, but Trump's rhetoric is - typically - reckless and not well thought-out. But you'll praise whatever he does.
