You want negotiations which implies a give and take. All Russia did for Ukraine was take. They're 100% in the wrong. What is there to negotiate?
first off the US meddling in the Euromaiden - can easily be considered a violation of the Budapest Memorandum.
The yanukovych administration had just negotiated a long term lease for Sevastopol -but the prior adm. had more then once threatened Putin's access to it.
In that sense seizing Crimea was understandable -and he used the Crimea referendum as political cover

all that aside..the pressing issue now in Ukraine is war in the east (Donbass etc),
So is it a good idea to recognize Crimea as Russian ( being that it's a done deal) in return for Russian Spetznaz troops /irregulars staying out of the separatist fight in the east? -they are both there now.
It's certainly worth putting on the table and talking about it.

The entire Russian collusion is a delusion. But Trump's foreign policy has been one I've agreed with-
unlike Obama's meddling and interventionism.
So there is nothing for me to criticize there.
Domestically it's all Kabuki,and while I support most of his executive orders ( including the Travel ban)
there isn't much big legislation yet.
I could criticize his inconsistency- but in general he's done as much as possible to pass-considering the Democrtas resistance, and the Swamp Republicans.
