I stopped watching tv "news" long ago. I've accepted that it's now mostly in the entertainment category. Most of them seem to be jockeying for ratings catering to libs or cons , mostly libs.
That said, free (I now consider cable 'free') tv is becoming obsolete to folks that use their brain for the most part. E.g., Discovery Channel had quality documentaries and other programming almost non stop. I believe they're reality tv now.
I mostly use tv for watching sports,and then I dvr it to cut out commercials.
We're inundated with reality tv. Any quality writing/acting must be purchased .
Times have changed... e.g., who uses the yellow pages or newspaper classified ads anymore?
Oh well, sorry for the rant. Once started....

Discussions can only go as far as the understandings of each participant.......the general level of knowledge is abysmal to begin with - when you have to deal with people who have spent the past 25 years gorging on what the innertubes are more than happy to provide, you spend an awful lot of time having to explain things to these idiots from scratch...I just spent 2 hours trying to get a couple of Trump fluffers to show me some basic National Debt math.....
