Preeminence (surpassing others, etc), distinction (contrast between similar things) Importance (influence, dominance)...Yeah, the words all fit.

Just as Christians and Muslims are 'great religions' in their importance and distinction, influence and ....due to the physical size of their following, their popularity, if you will....

which has nothing to do with the what either of them teach or believe.....except of course, to their followers.....

i like that Trump dropped the word radical. Radical and extremist usually connote fringe. Using them both is akin to saying it is a fringe of a fringe. There are enough muslim terrorists out there , including whole nations, that this does not apply to them anymore.
