Are you serious? trump's first line of defense was Nunes. He was forced to step aside. Then, he tried to get Comey to end the investigation, ultimately firing him. Nunes effectively halted the House hearings for a few weeks. That's now back on track.

So when you ask 'how long?'.....you have to ask how long trump has been trying to quell any real investigation.
