R.I.P. Chris Cornell

Great musician and songwriter. Amazing career - Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave & really outstanding solo material.

So much amazing talent from that grunge scene gone too soon - like you guys mentioned, Staley, Cobain, Weiland, and also Andrew Wood from the early days.

R.I.P. Chris Cornell.
 
killing yourself at 50 is like leaving 3/4ths through a movie. You might as well finish it out at that point. At the very least he should have heathened it up for a couple of years. He has fuck you money. I'd buy a giant yacht and get lots of prostitutes and drugs. Go full throttle.

people without mental health issues can't reconcile this. It makes no sense to us. It isn't logical

There is a guy at my unit who was originally a security forces (military police) guy. Somehow he got in with Soundgarden back in the day, and has done work (security? photography? - not sure of the details) with them for years. People joke that he's basically a Soundgarden roadie. Anyway, it turns out that he was in Detroit last night, so, I may get some insider knowledge in the days to come. I'm sure he's feeling like crap at the moment.

for a second a thought you were talking about jason everman. He got kicked out of both nirvana and soundgarden. so he joined the army

but that guy became a green beret or something
