Time magazine's latest cover illustrates Trump's White House transforming into a Kremlin-like building

Time magazine on Thursday published a stunning illustration on its cover for the May 29th issue, depicting the White House mutating into a Kremlin-like building, featuring the distinctive onion domes and red brick of Russia's Saint Basil's Cathedral.

The cover accompanies a story detailing White House officials' struggles to contain and respond to multiple Russia-related controversies.

The issue also follows several explosive news reports published over the last week involving the Trump administration's ongoing controversies involving Russia, including The Washington Post's report on Monday that President Trump had shared highly classified information with two top Russian officials in an Oval Office meeting last week, just one day before Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, who was investigating Russian interference in the US presidential election.

The New York Times then reported on Tuesday that Comey had written a memo reportedly detailing Trump's request to shut down his investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn over his conversations with Russian officials.

Then on Wednesday, the Department of Justice named former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

According to Time executive editor Matt Vella, the cover is the magazine's first in a decade to feature no cover line accompanying the illustration.

The magazine's cover is just the latest in a series of issues that have been openly critical of Trump's administration and his candidacy.

What color is the sky in your little fantasy world?

At best, Russia is our adversary. Our opponent.

I think that is designed specifically to bug Trump.

I get that it's current & meets the criteria for perception - but w/ nothing really proven yet, it's a bit thin from a journalism perspective.

I guess I have to keep repeating this.

I was in Moscow about two years ago and stayed at a hotel within walking distance of the Red Square. It looks like Beverly Hills, except more military guards. They have Tommy effing Hilfiger less than one mile from their Capital. I ate at restaurants that would easily be top tiered in Europe or America. And the people eating there, if I didn't know I was in Russia and just woke up there, I would think I was in Europe or the US.

They are so capitalistic now, I don't see how they are still our enemy.

They're desperate.
The had their collective asses handed to them so badly in 2916, that they're grasping at anything. :palm:

Did Obama agree with your statement when he told Romney the 1980's called?

Irrelevant.

Obama was responding to Mitt Romney's mischaracterization of Russia as "... America's No.1 geopolitical foe..." which I think most experts would agree is an overstatement.

Yes, Russia is our foe, or as I said, adversary or opponent. But No.1? I think that N. Korea and ISIS rank higher on the enemy scale than Russia.

So then, your answer would be yes, I think Obama would agree that Russia is our adversary and opponent, just not our No.1 adversary and opponent.

Anything else I can clear up for you, Yo-yo?

They are not, but they are an advisory, you are naive to believe differently.
