He is a angry little man isn't he? CO2 has resulted in a massive re-greening of the planet but the snowflakes hate that so they need to find another angle like ocean acidification. It is basically Plan B when their pontificating about CAGW is exposed as groundless alarmism.

Yes mate it is, all plant life ceases to exist if the atmospheric concentration drops below 150 ppmv, so basically all animals and humans would just starve to death. There are many that are now predicting a new Maunder Minimum in the next decade. You need to bone up on your reading.

I was leaving a grocery store and some greenpeace types were out front getting sigs or memberships or something. One of the millennial types tried to solicit some old dude leaving the store in front of me. I heard her start to say something about saving the environment to him and before she could finish the first sentence in her pitch he growled "I hate the environment" as be bullied his way past with a smile most unpleasant.

That's the mentality we are dealing with on the right, folks. Just let them be the society burdening curmudgeons. No convincing them. We will have to handle the world's major problems without them. Just pray every day for their hasty death.

It's not modelling though, it is based on empirical data. The Maunder Minimum was caused by the virtual complete absence of sunspots between 1645 and 1715. The Sun is now going a similar period of quiescence. That you don't know this is no great surprise to me.

There were people like you running around predicting the end of the world back then as well. The atmospheric CO2 concentration was around 300ppmv, so what caused that warming that occurred between 1910-1940?
