Well the Ryan-care bill last week shows that Trumps attempts at strong-arming the GOP house members had little to no effect. He gave them a ultimatum and they chose to ignore the threats and defy his wishes.
A president with approval numbers in the 30s doesn't garner much fear, or for that matter isn't really taken very seriously by congress.
Disapproving of their president puts them in the 60% majority with the rest of America...
That is an area where most congressmen feel a lot more comfortable...

When it comes to what elects a President, Trump 270 or more and Hillary less than 270.

When it comes to the type of vote that elects a President, Trump received a majority.

When are you self proclaimed geniuses on the left going to learn that the type vote you keep bringing up doesn't choose the President in way you bring them up. When it comes to the way the electoral college system runs, what you continue to say prove you don't understand it. In my State, Trump got a majority of the popular votes and all of the electoral votes. It worked like that in all 51 of the separate an unassociated elections throughout the country in states Trump won.

I think the problems between the Sanders wing and the establishment wing are an example of the type of issues any national party always faces. They aren't as pronounced as the problems in the Republican Party because there has not been a refusal to cooperate amongst The branches and because they are not a majority party at this time. When the Democrats become a majority party we will see if the problems are as pronounced as in the Republican Party.

The Democrats do not have a severe bozo with no negotiation skills trying to lead their party. The fact that the Republican leader, Donald Rump, is completely incompetent magnifies the problem with in the party.
