Only one article, with British roots, reported that a FISA court order was granted in October to examine possible activity between two Russian banks and a computer server in the Trump Tower. This claim has not been confirmed by U.S. news organizations. Moreover, no article says that Obama requested the order or that it resulted in the tapping of Trump’s phone lines. The server, in fact, may not have even been in Trump Tower.

Moreover, the articles do not support the White House’s claim that these were “potentially politically motivated investigations” led by Obama. The articles all suggest that the FISA requests — if they happened — were done by the intelligence agencies and the FBI. The BBC says the investigation was prompted by a tip from a Baltic country about possible criminal activity:

Actually, this news was well documented during the election. There were hundreds/thousands of 'communications' between the server at trump tower, and a Russian bank. Once the investigation began, all communications ceased....and started up again with a new server.

The investigation was never able to discern the exact nature of these communications. I'm sure trump will be eager to fill in the blanks.

According to the BBC, there is no indication that Obama played a direct role but I think it's safe to assume he would have known about it. It would not have targeted Trump directly but the BBC claimed they were looking for connections between the campaign and the Russian banks. The banks would have been the target.


It certainly does not support the full narrative of the Trumputin hacks tsuke and grind. And like I said, who knows if the BBC is right about this at all. The BBC is credible but not infallible.

He's blindsided by the IC, your article calls for grown ups on all sides -but of course you being a rank partisan- you only call from that by Trump.

when is the last time a POTUS had an openly hostile Deep State to deal with -without even having his own NSCouncil in place?

Yeah, it's weird. Apparently, this Mark Levin dbag is Trump's best source of information for what goes on in the government. Apparently, he's not in any loops which might be a good thing.

how would Trump "find out?" by an openly hostile IC. Is the IC going to brief him on any activities the IC is investigating about Trump?
I think this all derives from the "Russian collusion" meme. It's generated all this heat but no light
