Oh. My. God.

TapsOut is relying mostly on our technology and ability to use tools, which is obviously impressive compared to that of any other species. If the theory of evolution has anything to say about this I think it would be that we would find that our closest relatives might be more inclined to use tools than other species and guess what? That's what we find. We find comparable tool use mostly in other apes and primates. We don't find it in palm trees.

Yet, TapsOut claims this difference in the degree of our tool use capacities alone disproves our relationship to even our closest relatives. And our closest relatives tool use does not disprove their relationship with the palm tree? That's just absolute nonsense.

As I said from the start, this guy does not accept the theory of evolution. He only claims to to escape ridicule.

But guys don't you realize how special we are? The earth was clearly placed where it is to give us a comfortable climate, and the sun rises and sets so that we can have darkness to sleep. Evolution has also clearly given us it's favor because here we are with all our cell phones.

PiMPle made the same bs claims to accept the theory of evolution, as did ditzy (aka Dixie). But he clearly had no idea what it suggested. His account was basically...

They don't even understand why this is funny.

Yeah, hooray for Liberal Ostrich Junk Science, which culls out the most compelling and relevant data to make facts fit into the pre-conceived template.

Reality becomes "irrelevant."

Man is nothing more than an ape, but at the same time possesses the capacity to destroy the planet with global warming.

And our Liberal Ostrich Junk Science is all completely legitimate.

I am sorry that it hurts your feelings to be told you are an ape or a mammal but you are. I would not say you are just an ape or just a mammal. But then neither is a chimp just an ape/mammal. It's a unique and, I guess, somewhat special kind of mammal/ape and so are you.

Honestly, I think you should look to something more than having been born human for your self esteem though since there are a whole a lot of pretty rotten examples of people who managed at least that and quite a few have done a bit more.

Likewise, I regret that being designated an ape is a boost to your self-esteem.

What an unfortunate position to find oneself in.

Yeah

How long before a tenrec civilization emerges?

How long before a tenrec is even cognizant that it is a tenrec?

AFAIK, the theory of evolution makes no predictions about this. What it does predict is certain shared traits and behaviors with other mammals including man and less shared traits further down the evolutionary tree, like with sharks or that palm tree. You are a joke or a coward and will never address how this proof you claim against evolution does not disprove the toe entirely.

It is a statement of fact just like the statement that I am a mammal. Do you object to being identified as a mammal? Then why would you object to being identified as an ape?

Whether it is a fortunate position or not is irrelevant.

Again, I never claimed to be able to prove anything. That was you.

And your theory collapsed at the most obvious question.

So....

What did I claim to be able to prove?

I m not asking you to prove anything more than you formed your opinion based on the available science. You failed to do that. You have shown it's largely about your need to feel special and a rejection of science.

You said the TOE explains how man got to where he is today. And at the first question you collapsed most clumsily.

I never said I can prove anything... in fact, if you go back you will see I said "I don't know what happened."

So, stop lying.

BS. I have repeatedly stated that the toe makes no predictions about our technological progress.

The toe explains where we are at biologically, but you are not addressing that.

Again, the only claim that evolution might make regarding your claims for technology or tool use is that we would most likely find comparable behaviors in our closest relatives. Check.

And you then reduced evolution to an all-or-nothing proposal. Which I reject. And I have at least 10 times already, so you may as well stop bringing it up.

The possibility that species evolved separate and apart from the Creation of man is not only possible, I'd call it probable.

No other species has evolved this quickly or as a far.

The ancient civilizations like that of the Egyptians appear to have emerged from a complete void of even primitive cultures. If this was the product of man evolving, it was a relative 0 to 60 in 2 seconds of evolutionary speed.

It's basically saying, "OK, this species of bird over here evolved a broader bill over 50,000 years, and in the same time period this species of ape developed a written language, architecture, mathematics, music, engineering..."

No, it's illogical.

And all of those civilizations recognized that some greater power brought them into existence, separating them from the beasts of the world. That can not be a coincidence either.

I don't say I know what happened. Nobody does. But SOMETHING happened significantly beyond the ordinary scope of species evolving. I think that's rather obvious in fact.

In case you missed it the first time around.

And theoretically, it could even have been an extra-terrestrial intervention and the Scientologists have been right all along.

And you repeatedly want to separate our biological organism from everything we have become, which is dishonest science. You clearly have an agenda, and I do not.

If bears started using walking sticks you'd be the first one citing it as evidence of evolution and so would I.

Who missed it? I noted that you completely reject science at the outset and I have been pointing out that you are conflating biological advancement with technological advancement for several pages at least.
