and did thier best to live up to thier reputation as the Party of "no" is now crying and complaining that the Democrats are obstructing and that the Congress is too partisan.

Even the right wing media adds to the hilarity now accenting the factionalism as a threatening peril while previously narrating the obstructionism of the Obama era as defensible defiance

If nothing else the Don is going give us four years of endless entertainment

The record for filibuster is Strom Thurmond (D), against the civil rights act. Robert Byrd (D) is up there also.

hypocrisy abounds when it comes to the filibuster.

Democrats seem to have amnesia on that fact. Make no mistake. I am not defending one side over the other, just saying that neither side has any moral high ground when it comes to obstruction.

The truth of the matter is that the Founders wanted OBSTRUCTION. That is why they set up our system of government. They didn't want laws being passed on a whim and emotion.

Unfortunately, leftists think only their motives are pure and that they have divine providence to rule. When they are out of power they stomp their feet and want to pretend that all that they did while in power never happened.

Ain't that the ever-living truth. Selective amnesia.

The Repukebags have taken obstructionism to new and unprecedented levels.

They are shameless scum.

LOL. Isn't that the pot calling the kettle hot? Seriously. This is all simply US politics. It's exactly what is supposed to happen. They did get elected as representatives to support a contrary opinion. Acting to do what they were elected to do is what we should expect. You wouldn't see me complaining about it, and you won't. Although I do think that the means they use can work against them. It really depends on who elected them and how they perceive their opposition.

We spend way too much time acting "shocked" that some people who were elected to represent an opposing view actually act on it and do what they were elected to do. I just call them normal people doing what they were elected to do. Although I do think they will fail... The question is, will Trump act quickly enough while there is a favorable Senate to get his agenda working?

Dems started the filibustering of judicial appointments. They have now pioneered the filibustering of cabinet appointments. Republicans chose to ignore one judicial appointment, and you want to freak-out over it. Hell, Republicans didn't even try to block Geithner's appointment to Treasury, and he was woefully unfit for the office.

translation, elections have consequences. this is what you get for pushing for hillary clinton.

No, that's what we get for living in a nation where roughly half the population are ill-bred, low-educated, tantrum-throwing idiot assholes who are so lacking in judgement that they'd elect a dangerous, clueless screwball like Shlump the hump as President.

Don't blame the results of your idiotic dumbfuckery on me or anyone else but yourself and your fellow mental retards.

You lie like shit in the grass.

IOW, like a typical Republican.

awwwww, now you're just projecting your own shortcomings on everyone else.

actually, Legion as usual you are wrong......those increased numbers were solely the result of Harry Reid's changes in record keeping.......sorry that you're such a dipshit.....

Ah, it's Harry Reid's fault the GOP used the filibuster a record number of times, what a surprise

Noticed you didn't offer any documentation to support your claim, another surprise

Just proves that the democrats will have to bus their drug infested lazy ass street thugs to the polls or they can't win
