But the poll cites the number of Americans. Unfortunately, less than half the population voted in the election, so the popular vote totals only tells us who won out of those who voted.

Who is actually more popular is an interesting question. The only way to know would be to make participation in the poll mandatory.

Trump lost the popular vote by almost 3 million voters. That poll declares one would have to be stupid to believe yours.

The 2016 election had the lowest turnout in 20 years. Trump voters had high turnout, Clinton lost because of low turnout of her voters .. and she still beat Trump by 3 million votes. Again demonstrating that one would have to be stupid to believe your poll.

Trump won a smaller percentage of the eligible vote than John Kerry, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Gerald Ford did when they ran for the presidency—and they all lost. Trump got the same proportion of the white vote as Romney in 2012 and Bush in 2004, and only a little more than McCain in 2008. The myth of a white stampede to "take back the country" is bullshit.

Obama leaves office with a higher approval rating than Reagan. Trump only won because of low turnout .. yet you want people with brains to believe that Trump would beat Obama. :0)
