Huge lines in Chicago to see the Obama Presidential Libary

I will add - I was fortunate to live in a state where I felt okay voting 3rd party. I don't see 3rd party as a cop-out vote, as I used to. If we ever do have a viable 3rd party in this country, as I hope we will, it will be due to people who continued to vote 3rd party, regardless of outcome.

Had I lived in a tight state, I probably would have voted Hillary. And I'm someone who has been criticizing Hillary for years, and have wished for some time that the Dem party would move on from Clinton's grip. But Trump disgusts me that much. Even if he is a success, I think we've crossed some Rubicon by putting him in office. President used to be a position where you were a role model. It no longer is.

So, did you vote for Hillary or abstain?

And someone's going to post "How is Obama a role model?" To which I'll respond, you have to put ideology aside when looking at that equation.

I couldn't stand Bush, and hated the war, but he is still someone I would call an "honorable man." I never doubted that he wanted what was best for his country. He is someone who, if I knew him personally, I would probably trust to keep his word.

Obama was a role model, to millions. To deny that is just...well, denial.

George Bush Sr. was an intelligent & thoughtful man. Again, though I disagreed w/ him, he lived his life in a way that sets a great example. He is a role model.

Reagan? Are you kidding me? Optimism personified. Leading the way I love leaders to lead - thinking forward. Thinking positive. He was a role model.

And so on. But Trump? He's a boor, a completely self-centered child. There are no redeeming qualities there to emulate. 1st non-role model President I can think of in modern times.

The last 3 elections cycles prove the democrats have lost their base and the American people are tired of their lies

you didn't win a majority of the peoples approval fucking idiot

trump will NEVER have the consent of the governed

never

How ya like them approval ratings, anyway?

Must seem weird since you hate him so much. At least Bush's approval ratings were in line w/ how I felt about him.

Well, I for one, am very pleased with Obama's approval ratings.

Nothing better than going out "on the top", eh?

65 million don't all live in CA.

Take away TX, and Trump is basically in the same situation. It's asanine to say "well, if it wasn't for CA and NY and the coast and the southwest..."

No more asinine then harping day in and day out with: "But, but, but! She won the popular vote though!".

She L-O-S-T!!!

There will be NO recount of the recounts, no realignment of the Electoral College, no bribing of electorates, no cease and desist order to DJP'S ascendancy to President, nothing, nada, zip, zilch.

Even you will grow tired of the sobbing. It will be way after we grow tired of it, but even you will embarrass yourself.

Carry-on.
