Merry Christmas Everyone!

not for non-christians - and their numbers increase daily

the 25th is not even celebrated by all christians

oh well
But true Christians don't get hung up on discovering the actual day of His birth because we understand that the spirit of Christmas is so much more important.

hes dead

he did not show much love for the shits he whipped for taking advantage of poor people
He's never been more alive.

Jesus wasn't a criminal coddler like you, evince. He disciplined the money changers because they were defiling a temple of God. Not because he hated them, but because they needed to be taught to respect their maker.

Agree.

I agree but we would both be remiss if we didn't give Desh her due. Not only were they defining the temple of God, they were taking advantage of the poor while doing so.

I'll agree with you on that point, but she still misses the primary reason for his flare up, which is the defiling piece.

They were merchants providing a convenient service for the poor and anyone else. They were just doing business in the wrong place. So they got some "tough love".

Jesus is stated to have visited the Temple in Jerusalem, where the courtyard is described as being filled with livestock, merchants, and the tables of the money changers, who changed the standard Greek and Roman money for Jewish and Tyrian money.[1] (Gentile money could not be used at the Temple because of the graven images on it.) Jerusalem was packed with Jews who had come for Passover, perhaps numbering 300,000 to 400,000 pilgrims.[5][6]
And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, "Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of trade."[Jn 2:13–16]
"And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."
— Matthew 21:12–13
In Mark 12:40 and Luke 20:47 Jesus accused the Temple authorities of thieving and this time names poor widows as their victims, going on to provide evidence of this in Mark 12:42 and Luke 21:2. Dove sellers were selling doves that were sacrificed by the poor who could not afford grander sacrifices and specifically by women. According to Mark 11:16, Jesus then put an embargo on people carrying any merchandise through the Temple—a sanction that would have disrupted all commerce.[4][7] This occurred in the outermost court of the gentiles.
Matthew 21:14–16 says the Temple leaders questioned Jesus if he was aware the children were shouting "Hosanna to the Son of David." Jesus responded by saying "from the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise." This phrase incorporates a phrase from the Psalm 8:2, "from the lips of children and infants," believed by followers to be an admission of divinity by Jesus, thus confirming his divinity via prooftexting the Old Testament.[4][7]

No, you don't. You mean "In your face, Christian. I'm choosing Happy Holidays because this is a political statement, and I despise your religion."

Nope, sorry you lose. Man you really have a chip on your shoulder if you get all that from a simple "Happy Holidays". You are really insisting on people being Politically Correct arent you?
