Guy kills his neighbors

MAGA MAN

Let's go Brandon!
Article here: http://www.journalnow.com/news/crim...cle_a4706224-cc60-57c8-851a-13efb58127b1.html

Three characters involved:
shooter: Hobbs
antagonist: Salsman
antagonist biatch: Stubbs

Short story, the way I read this:
Antagonists have kids that Hobb's wife doesn't want her kids to associate with.
Antagonists kids steal her kid's chalk and she goes over to get it.
Antagonists then get pissed off and verbally assault Hobbs. Hobbs stands his ground.
Antagonists then try to physically assault Hobbs and he empties 12 into them.

Status:
Hobbs in jail for murder of the biatch, will probably get off in self-defense against her BF.

What Hobbs should have done:
Stop shooting after putting 2 in the BF. If the biatch then came after him, one in her ass.

Read the article in its entirety before you react, Moot.

Yes, the shooter was a stupid ass for doing it the way that he did. The whole idea of defending your home is to stop the threat, not use up bullets.

A double tap into the guy's chest in all likelihood would have stopped the attacker. Instead he used up 6 bullets to shoot the guy in the head, the back, the arms. Then the biatch never made it up the stairs.

Yeah instead of some lunatic and his biatch antagonizing then beating the hell out of their neighbor, neighbor goes overboard and caps both their asses, wasting 9, maybe 10 bullets.

You are aware how fast 6 shots can be fired; because I doubt he was using a muzzle loader.

You empty your magazine in them and reload. Hollywood shows folks dropping after getting shot once (bullshit) and unless you had a miraculous head shot/spine shot they are going to keep coming until they bleed out. I've seen (yes here comes a war story) folks shot the fuck full of holes and still firing at us. Now granted they were shot with 5.56mm (POS round) but nevertheless. They had been hit 10-15 times all over and they were still fighting.

Maybe he had a .22 or some stupid pistol like that. I figure with my .40, either pre-frag or hollow point, two rounds in the chest of nearly anyone is going to result in an instant face-plant.

12 shots- likely he did reload. His big problem was that the biatch never made it up the stairs. His other problem is the bullet in the guy's back.

The "in the back" is easily defended as the brain/trigger finger under stress testimony has beat that every time.
I reload my own. We test them on trapped hogs. I can unload a 1911 w235g hollow points into the chest cavity (hitting the heart and organs) and it will take 30-45 seconds for that hog to expire. One behind the ear (brain shot) and he is DRT. Dead right there.
Now if Mr. Hog had a gun/knife and then those 30-45 seconds become rather deadly for me.
It has never been about caliber it is all about shot placement. Center mass under the stress of a fight for your life combined with adrenaline makes accuracy a bitch to over come. It is all about training to the point of muscle memory versus conscious decisions to pull the trigger. This is why cops shoot people usually. They see/hear something that scares the shit out of them...the adrenaline starts pumping then the person make s a sudden move or goes for his/her pocket and that trigger finger is going to go into bang mode fucking quick.

I disagree; because:
1 - There's no guarantee that his first two shots were fatal, to being with.
2 - There are plenty of handguns out there that will hold 12 or more rounds.
3 - Where does it say that someone needs to "make it up the stairs".
4 - When you're rapid firing; it's possible for the person to spin away, while you're firing, and they catch the last couple in the side or back.

Way to many people think it's like the movies and the person being shot, just stands there facing forward and jerks as each round makes contact.

One of my first firearms, was a Ruger Mark 1 .22 semi auto.
It held 8 in the clip and with one in the chamber, I had 9 shots.
Timed it one time and I could put all 9 shots out, in less then 3 seconds, and with no recoil, all were closely patterned.

I daily carry a Colt 1911. It is an extension of my arm. I put all rounds into a 2" square in less than a couple of seconds @ 15 feet (I train @ 15'). Reload and ready to go again in less than 3 seconds.I train center mass on moving targets. I never train on paper that is stationary. Never met a bad guy that would stand still anyway so it is probably a good thing. I have a AR-15 Pistol in my truck. 30 rounds of my 62g .223.
Damn lil Rugers are a bitch to break down to clean.

OK enough with the gun stories. Since we don't even know the caliber this is all conjecture.

The antagonist didn't have a knife, according to the article which is from the police report and surely would have mentioned it. The shooter has been charged with murder of the biatch but not yet with her turd BF. So obviously not making up the stairs was a big deal in that decision.

I never thought it was that difficult to break down and clean that Ruger Mark 1.

Yup...gonna need a damn good attorney for sure.

If you shot someone, because you felt threatened and feared for you life, and then the person the first person was with, comes at you; it's not to hard of a stretch, that you would still feel threatened.
I agree. Deadly force is justifiable I agree. But you better be a good clean shoot or your going to prison.

What he has going for him is that the biatch was going after him first and her BF holding her back.

I agree and now it comes down to which side is the most believable.
Them being on his property and from some of the texts that were supposedly sent, this may very well end up being dismissed.
