Attorney General Named!

I'm surprised Trump picked him, given his vehement anti gay rights stance and his efforts in Congress to deny them rights.

Horrible choice.

This one was of my fears about Trump. I honestly don't think he understands politics or ideology that much - this was one of his appeals to his base, but it could be a disaster. He has turned this over to Pence & others on his transition team. And he probably feels good about delegating, since that's a good thing in business.

But he needs to set the vision, and I don't think he is. This cabinet so far is much more in the image of Pence.

Trump could pick Jesus Christ himself for some post
and HE would ridiculed, called a bigot, and a racist
etc.....it don't really matter who Trump selects, the
result will be the same every time....all the time....

Its become so expected no one really gives a shit
anymore what the media, left wing reaction is because
its like a broken record, playing the same line
over and over and over.....

I completely agree with you. Now that you mention it, I doubt Trump even knows Sessions stance on gay rights.

This seems like it could be good and bad he runs the WH as a business. I also wonder if there was some backroom deal for his support. This is something Trump has no problem with.

I truly hope he leads as he said in his acceptance speech. Since he says one thing one day and then the exact opposite the next, hard to tell. Hopefully his ego will make him want to be a good president, make jobs, stand up for gay rights, etc. If not, he will be the laughing stock of presidents for a long time.

More people?

Obviously, it means nothing in terms of who ends up in office. But, when it comes to characterizing the election as a "landslide," you would think the idea of "more people" would play into it...no?

The only thing really remarkable about the popular vote was how close it came to 50/50. An election where 120 million votes are cast and one side wins by a million?

The electoral map tells a totally different tale. I can see why liberals don't like the electoral college lol.

No it doesn't, unless you're a hack. Similarly thin margins in WI, MI, FL, PA, etc.

I'm fine w/ the electoral college, too - no problem w/ it deciding this election, and the next.

You can't prove your statement was correct either. You're making as ASSumption which you used to hate when others did the same.

Doesn't say much for Hillary that a number of right winners voted for her and she still lost.

Oh yes, my statement is easily provable.

Sadly you, like most of the other JPP Righties, simply cannot STAND being shown up by me, so you refuse to acknowledge simple truths.

Trump has claimed for MONTHS now he was going to "drain the swamp", which EVERYONE UNDERSTOOD meant he was going to be getting rid of CAREER POLITICIANS from BOTH sides of the aisles.

Alas, your petty insecurities simply will not allow you to admit someone you ridicule incessantly is right and you are wrong.

trump was against the EC before he was for it, too.

“He lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!”

The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy.

You don't go too deep beyond headlines, do you?

These ARE regular GOP guys, and hardliner ones at that.

Drain the swamp means Washington insiders.

You really don't know much.

Oh, I didn't know this was about you. My bad.

You are making an ASSUMPTION Zap.

it's a landslide by every metric that matters.

It's not a landslide if you are into participation trophies.

They are trying to cling to any shred of dignity that they have left

They can't bring themselves to admit that this guy who they think is a clown beat the broad they thought was imminently qualified. Their entire world view has been turned upside down.

So they desperately cling to this popular vote trope in an effort to soothe their hurt feelings

So, by your definition, any win is a landslide.

Interesting take, but not consistent w/ the normal connotations of "landslide."

What I think many are alluding to is the drubbing the democrat party took up and down the ballot. Not just the Presidential race.

Additionally looking at it within the confines of what you all guaranteed it was indeed a landslide

Y'all predicted that not only would Hillary would defeat Trump but she would do it by taking states like AZ, GA and even TX

Y'all predicted the democrat party would reclaim the House and Senate

Y'all claimed that Trump was so horrible he would drag down every other republican with him.

None of what y'all predicted remotely came to pass. So yes it was a landslide
