I remember that .. and I remember saying the same thing you just did .. that she was 100% wrong.

But that was critique, not an attack.

All Mrs. Obama sought to do was ensure that kids ate healthy .. and she was attacked relentlessly with gross hate.

The First Lady's goal was right on.....but do you believe any First Lady has the right to FORCE her will on the entire school system of the country ?
And it was by FORCE....she dictated what every kid MUST be served in every school....
That was a little over her pay grade as they say.....but I agree her intentions were valid and worthy....parents have rights too.

I agree with much of that .. with the caveat that force is the only way to enforce health lunch programs. Look at the history of American school lunch programs.

It's amazing -absolutely freaking unreal- the depths the fed's will plumb,and the support they get from statists..

Use some block grants. tell the states they want healthy meals served where possible,and let the states run their own lunchrooms.
Kids dumping lunches into trash cans is but one aspect of the demise of federalism

You don't have children and you're sort of a libertarian .. thus, you may have little interest in this, but the health and well-being of its citizens is paramount to the federal government .. particularly among children.

This is no different than federal government regulations on when and where you can smoke.
