I think it's fair to give him a chance even if it's a skeptical chance. There's a lot about him that you can easily doubt and be turned off by but he hasn't served a day in office yet so I just think it's better to give him a chance to lead before you completely turn your back on him or firmly entrenching yourself in division by saying he's not our president.. It would have been the same expectation of people on the right if Hillary would have won. Be skeptical but open to possibility.

I'd love to see him crush it. I'm not rooting against him. That would be stupid. I would love to see that I'm wrong about him. I'd love to see a robust economy, improved wages, more jobs, lower debt, et al.

At the same time, I don't think I'll ever feel that a guy like Trump represents me. I wouldn't go as far as to say he's "not my President," because I'm an American & he's America's President. But it's pretty close. No matter how well he does, it will always be embarrassing for me that we have someone with such low character as our leader.

I would agree that that Trump is not someone that I would consider a role model. It's just he will be our president for the next four years and so we need to hope that he does a good job because it will effect all of us if he doesn't or does.

maybe there's hope for you yet.......probably not, but maybe.....

Laughable, considering it was the pinheads that preached about how they would accept the outcome of the election.....they refuse to accept the outcome
the ones that preached about violence at political rallies....they hired thugs to cause violence at Trump rallys....
the ones the preached transparency while hiding just about everything they did, until Wikileaks exposed them....
the ones that claimed they would reach out to Reps. and then ruled by exec. order........
Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.....

MOSCOW -- A top Russian diplomat said Moscow had contacts with Donald Trump’s campaign ahead of his election as president.

President-elect Trump to meet with Obama at White House
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was quoted as telling the Interfax news agency Thursday that “there were contacts” with influential people in Trump’s circle. “I don’t say that all of them, but a whole array of them supported contacts with Russian representatives.”
The report did not give further details.
In careful phrasing befitting the spy he once was, Vladimir Putin has made it clear he expects a great deal from Trump. And, the billionaire businessman may expect a transactional relationship with Putin.

not if he worked with the Russians to change our election

If it's proven one day that he broke laws then he should be impeached but until then he is still our president elect and we as a country should want a president to succeed. I'm not saying we have to endorse everything he does or wants to do but the longer this country is divided the less good that will ever be accomplished.

It doesn't offend me if people say "he's not my president". People said the same about Obama and they said it about Bush. At the end of the day we go in with our daily lives and they are the President.

That goes on every cycle but it's gone next level and there are people in streets over this one. Hopefully, they get bored with it soon.

Well their just being dumb then Ken. I understand their anger and frustration that a person who appealed to people using incredibly ugly and hateful language was elected.

That being said he is OUR President and I respect the institution of that office and as long as Donald Trump does the same then I have no choice but to respect him as MY President.

The alternative would be to undermine the institution of the Presidency and that is a very good way to make America into a corrupt banana republic.

If Trump proves unworthy of the office and disrespectful of it as an institution there are constitutional and legal means to remove him from office. Undermining the office is not one of them.

It's also not their country, we control both houses of congress, the white house, and coming soon to a country near you the SCOTUS, I don't want to cross the aisle, I don't want reconciliation, we won gfys, if you want to be part of the new America I have a job for you, get on your knees and suck my dick.

I agree with that to a point but it can be carried to far. We do have to be mindful that it is the institutions and how they were designed to work in our Republic and the limits of power in those offices that is far more important than the temporary leaders who occupy them. We can't permit these kind of sentiments to go so far that they undermine our civil institutions and our Republic.
