In a letter sent to government officials, James Comey said:

In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation …

I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.

He went on to say that there is no indication yet as to whether the material would prove "significant", and does not know how long the additional scrutiny will take.

The investigation won't complete before the end of the election. You have to wonder what is up. It has to be something big or is Comey just trying to CYA?

Something smells. I have no faith that anything related to this will be done above board.
 
Comey can fuck off. he has ZERO credibility in the field of law enforcement or criminal investigations by declining to charge hillary after he laid out all the evidence of her wrongdoing.

Of all the people who could have been assigned to the case, don't you think it would have been advisable to avoid someone whose wife received $650,000 from a close confidant of the Clinton's?

Are you really that blindly partisan that you see ZERO issue with it?
 
Personally, I believe that this is all a head fake to take the heat off of the other stuff that is hurting Clinton like Wikileaks and Project Veritas.

In a week, Comey will come out and say "There was nothing to see"

This is actually a pretty big story, if the Trump campaign uses it correctly. They can really hammer her for a full week & talk about electing someone who is still under investigation.

I'm sure they're groaning over in Clinton's camp about this. Definitely as close to an October surprise as it gets; could be a disruptor with a week+ to go.

Trump will probably blow it, though, and spend a few days tweeting about someone who insults him.
