Paul Ryan five thirty eight

But the answer is simple: Republican voters like Trump; Ryan risks losing the support of rank-and-file GOPers if he hits Trump too hard.
Trump is more popular among Republicans right now than Ryan is. In the most recent YouGov poll, for example, Trump’s net favorability rating (the percentage of respondents who rate him favorably minus the share who have an unfavorable opinion) among Republican primary voters was +36 percentage points. Ryan’s was just +16 points. Perhaps more telling is that Trump’s “very favorable” rating among this group is 34 percent, while Ryan’s is only 13 percent.

There are apparently new wiki leaks indicating there was a fix in regarding sitting on the Trump tapes until now in order to allow the media to help make Trump the primary winner... this is just breaking.

Considering he's a Democrat it's not surprising the media would love to see him tear apart the Republican Party and that's exactly what he's done.

Of course. This was an october surprise. I bet Hitlery had the tape hidden up her snatch this whole time.

What is the significance of those poll #'s anyway...... More like him than Ryan?? WTF should one expect?? He is running for president, promising whatever they wanna here, & Ryan isn't........

OH no. He's one of your own. Take responsibility for him. Trump is the logical progression of the southern strategy and dog whistle politics the GOP has been using for decades now. Trump just threw away the dog whistle. Like it or not he's not only a Republican but he's the leader of the GOP and represents the GOP values.

It's this not taking personal responsibility for irs actions and the right wing populist propaganda the GOP has used for years that has lead to this disgraceful situation. Either take responsibility for it or reject it but don't blame others for the parties mistakes.

Donald Trump is no liberal or Democrat. Stop bullshitting yourself.

I'll tell you the significance. That 36% extremely favorable number is exactly what Hillary was talking about when she mentioned 'Deplorables'. She admitted that she might be a tad high at 50%.

^Spot on. The thing the Republican Party just cannot seem to learn is how to win. Every time a Republican attacks their candidate, they push their constituents further away. I have NO respect for Republicans who will malign Trump and support a corrupt, lying sociopath like Hitlery.

But, that said, if they are up against a Liberal, they will still get my vote because Liberalism is like a cancer and has to e cut out to prevent its spread.

Just as there was for Romney's 47% comment.

The irony is that Hillary can call half the electorate deplorable and the media goes right along with it.

Would that surprise you? Is there something wrong with that? Do you not think Trump would do the same?

The above is true. If not for the Bernie uprising, the democrat party would be united behind Hillary no matter what she's done or how many lies she told the FBI. I don't know that Hillary could keep them from uniting behind her if she tried.

At least that goes for liberals. There's plenty of democrats in my state---and likely the Rust Belt, that can't stand the sight of her. And for good reason: Hillary doesn't speak for them---she calls them deplorables. Blacks and minorities aren't necessarily liberals so I think she may actually be weaker amongst them than a lot of people appreciate.

And I agree that Republicans who abandoned Trump for Hillary deserve no respect. Pussy Gate was a prime example. An obvious political gutter ball October setup by the DNC and the media: if Paul Ryan had any balls he'd call them out on it.

But his primary concern is his political hide, and if rolling over in front of the latest liberal outrage is what it takes to preserve it, he folds up like a cheap tent.

And still, they can't figure out Trump's popularity with the rank and file.

Amazing.

I do wish Bernie had been nominated, Americas first Democratic Socialist president would have been something to behold!
