Trump supporters and bigotry

Starting as president? No red flag there?

He also said lots of lib stuff and gave lots of money...

No red flag. Eisenhower started in politics. I'm cool with his 8 years. (especially Operation Wetback)

Giving lots of money is part & parcel of running businesses on large scale. Didn't you know ? Sometimes saying lib stuff goes hand in hand with that. And he also said lots of conservative stuff.

Didn't Ike cut the military and warn Americans about the MIC?

Ike's military budget was 543 times larger than Obama's. Obama's is $598 Billion (in 2016 $$) Ike's was 3.25 Trillion (in 2015 $$)($370 Billion in 1956 $$) Ike did cut his, because he inherited a World War II budget (when no war was going on) But even with his cuts, his budget was still hundreds of times larger than Obama's.

Every politician started out "with no voting history" but people still voted for them. You can tell by what they said in the past when they weren't running for anything. In Trump's case, he has said a lot of conservative things in the past.

"[In a Trump presidency], North Korea would suddenly discover that its worthless promises of civilized behavior would cut no ice. I would let Pyongyang know in no uncertain terms that it can either get out of the nuclear arms race or expect a rebuke similar to the one Ronald Reagan delivered to Ghadhafi in 1986. I don’t think anybody is going to accuse me of tiptoeing through the issues or tap-dancing around them either. Who else in public life has called for a pre-emptive strike on North Korea?"

"Soft criminal sentences are based on the proposition that criminals are the victims of society. A lot of people in high places really do believe that criminals are victims. The only victim of a violent crime is the person getting shot, stabbed, or raped. The perpetrator is never a victim. He’s nothing more than a predator."
