I don't think I can listen to a guy scream like that for 4 years

Onceler do you follow Josh Marshall on twitter? From TPM? Don't pay attention to the squealers, because of the name "Talking points memo", Marshall is one of the most informed and sober political analysts. He was tweeting about Trump and Putin today, and direct connections, and it was pretty scary when I thought about it.

This thread is specifically about the tone & delivery of his speech.

unless we make it about Chihuahuas.....

I don't - but I'll check him out. The Trump/Putin thing is strange in general.

There is also the story that Trump was interviewing his VPs to handle foreign policy. He doesn't want the boring jobs required of the President, he will just be busy making America great, again! WTF?

Well, your opinion is different from 90% of the pundits I saw afterwards, and an even higher % of posts I saw on twitter.

But that's okay. We can disagree on that.

Saw it pundit-free on YouTube live. I thought his delivery was great. Sorry that it hurt your delicate sensibilities.

I watched pundit-free, as well. He yelled. If you like yelling and doom, it probably was great to listen to.

If that was yelling to you then you have delicate sensibilities, like I just stated. Like a little girl just woken from a nap.

The general consensus, by all observers was that, Trump yelled the entire speech because he hates teleprompters and he has been reported to be boring when restricted to prepared text.
His cadence and rhythm were way off and he emphasized the wrong words over and over.
He could have come out on stage and farted for an hour and twenty minutes and the GOP convention would have wildly cheered him on.
Unfortunately the crowd in that arena was not the group of Americans Trump needed to win over.
Middle America saw a raving nut-job screaming for over an hour about how terrible their beloved country is.

Now your post is honest.

You're welcome.

I was disappointed that Dean didn't get that nomination. Kerry was such a cardboard candidate. Dean against Bush would have been a much more distinct choice, and a real battle of ideas.

I always thought that as well.
A Bush/Dean debate would have been great fun to watch.
Bush would not have known what hit him.
