Are Cons Coming to Terms With Racism in American Policing?

In both these cases I'm waiting to hear all the details because we really don't have a full picture of what happened. In LA it was reported someone was waving a gun around. Was it actually this guy? If it was him was he really waving it around dangerously? Knowing helps to understand the cops mindset at the time.

From the video I don't think the guy could reach his gun as he looked pinned down but it's always easier to judge in hindsight and from the safety of my living room couch.

I agree with that last part, and also w/ the idea that we need all of the facts.

But I can't help but question the level of force. I have a hard time believing that anyone deserved to die in either case. Isn't one shot enough in some cases, especially a traffic stop? It seems like way too much to me more often than not, at least in these highly publicized cases.

Is that what the union is claiming, Officer?
Unions are a horrible bunch of thugs. I learned that 60 years ago when my father in law, a member of the MEBA told of the orders given to seamen what to if one encountered a non union man of a ship. Throw them overboard after they go to sea. Thugs all

Oh, but what a learning experience it would be for them! I absolutely do not envy cops in large urban areas---not to excuse the bad apples.

Let the liberal critics walk into or drive up to situations where you getting shot and/or killed is a very real possibility. Let them do it for a couple of weeks and they'd come back singing a different tune.
Yet the left wing fanatics want to demonize the 99.5% because of the .5% bad apples.

Why is it demonizing every cop to address what has been in many cases systemic racism?

They were just having a great conversation about it on Fox. It goes well beyond these highly publicized cases; drugs & weapons planted on suspects, unlawful searches, etc.

Are people just supposed to shut up about it & take it? Give me a break. People are just asking for dialogue.

While I share your sentiment, they were not "sentenced" to work there, they voluntarily accepted the responsibility to care for the citizens whom they have sworn to protect..

If they don't like their jobs, they should find something else...
Most like their jobs, accept the danger and do their jobs well. .5% being rogue is a minor minute issue. I guess you scream for the police if one out of 1,000 care speeds on your block. It is the same thing.

You're a Bernie Sanders/Jill Stein supporter but think unions are a bunch of thugs? Something doesn't add up here

My guess is they will do away w/ that term all together.. Like oriental & coloured etc....

It is practically meaningless..

Of course if the don is elected they probably wont need to bother for a while....
It should be meaningless. People should all assimilate into one society while maintaining their culture with their friends and nature. A higher % of the people would succeed. Vote Green!

Good points..

Odd that now that "the ppl" have some means to observe what the "evil .00005%" is doing, we see this "evil .00005%" doing it almost everyday.. Just a coincidence I guess, kinda like those damn body cams that fall off when someone ends up shot or dead............:palm:

You're doing no different than I'm doing then. But from what we can see on the video the guy was in no position to reach for his gun. He shouldn't have resisted arrest but that doesn't mean he should have died.
So because you did not see it for your self you knee jerk the guilt before all the information is in? Glad you won't be on the jury. Prejudiced people never should be on a jury.

So please need to take down and shoot everyone who has a gun? Think about what you are saying.
I didn't say that. your post is a lie. I am a fan of the 2nd amendment and there are law abiding gun owners and criminals. The police were called to get stop a person from waving an illegal gun. So you hate police for doing their job.

I offered my opinion based on what I see in the video. I've said multiple times I will wait for the facts to come out to make a decision.

LOL, that's some very nice projection you are doing there. Well done sir
