Brexit predictions?

Can someone explain to me why liberals are so butthurt here? I understand wanting something to go a certain way but I had no idea so many me members here were invested in global politics?

because its a victory for nationalism and trump even if they wont admit it.

Does anyone know when we should get a result?

What are your thoughts?

I am not really up on the pulse of British culture but I am feeling they will stay in, I think the killing of the politician last week sealed the fate of the pro-exit movement.

I predict Leave will win with almost 52% of the vote.

Perhaps members realize that there's no future for the U.S. under either Trump or Billary and so they're looking abroad for somewhere decent to live. England ain't it, apparently. Trump himself is considering Scotland.

no future? really? Seems Britain existed quite a long time and was very influential in the world prior to 1975

Those were the days, eh ? Conquest, slaughter, rape , pillage ,

WW1 changed all that though. Morons led the seeds of Britain's future to their deaths.

it's fucking hilarious how butthurt euros are acting like this is britains loss. Lmao. The eu isn't shit without britain. that's why they were so desperate to keep them

I disagree. No union likes to lose its membership. ' In unity lies strength ' is a popular quotation- Thomas Paine, I believe- but sometimes a member will turn against its union and is worthless to it.

It would have been better if England had voted conclusively to leave the union, rather than close to 50/50. Now the Europeans feel sorry for the 48% who voted to remain.

The Eurocrats will miss our budget contributions, it is totally disgusting that over 3000 of them get paid more than David Cameron. If you add in their perks and expenses it adds up to over one billion pounds. I wonder if anyone in the US knows about the farce whereby the European Parliament moves to Strasbourg for 4 days every month. This has given rise to the concept of Strasbourg wives for the Brussels elite alongside their other wives in Brussels. The brothels and bars are also incredibly busy for that week as well.

Two reasons

1) at their core they are globalists
2) they fear it could portend trouble for Crooked Hillary here

Had BREXIT lost, all you would have heard is how bad it was for Trump. Now they are scared of a Trump win. That is why the lefties are so stirred up.

This is awesome

Is this a political message board? You had no idea members of a political message board were interested in global events? Well then you're fucking dumb aren't you?

I'm sorry my idea of interesting political conversation doesn't revolve around whether or not you suck ILA's dick too hard. You do, but if you love the taste of it, that's none of my beeswax and I can't think of a less interesting subject. Wait, I can; your "thoughts" on the EU.

Cornwall votes for Brexit then pleads to keep EU funding

The Cornish council has issued a plea for “protection” following the vote to leave the European Union.

Cornwall, which has a poor economy and received millions in subsidies from the EU each year, voted decisively to Leave.

But this money is now gone following the severing of ties with the EU.

John Pollard, the leader of Cornwall council said: “We will be insisting that Cornwall receives investment equal to that provided by the EU."

A statement on the council website on Friday said prior to the referendum the county was reassured by the Leave side that withdrawing from the EU would not affect their funding. Leave campaigners also promised the county would not be worse off.

This is a very concise read of the what/why of how the vote happened.
