For the idiots comparing Christianity with ISIS: ISIS sells girls for 9K

Slave owning was a pretty diversified and inclusive operation at the time. The chief suppliers to the slave trade were black Africans. The middle men and consumers were mostly white.

Who needs racial quotas?

Others made money out of their behaviour, like drug-runners in South America now, but the real slavee-owners were 'white' and 'Christian' citizens of the US.

Are you able to prove that any were? What proportion? Scumbags and criminals will use any religion, as you know, if it gives them good cover.

And did you bother with silly things like proof when you posted YOUR claim?.....

No, the white Christians/non-Christians [who said you had to be Christian to hold slaves?] US citizens were the consumers, in that analogy. But the slave industry itself, like the US drug industry, was reliant on black Africans slave traders [suppliers, technically].

In much the same manner the drug industry is reliant the Mexican drug cartels. Nearly a perfect analogy.

The bidding opens at $9,000. For sale? A Yazidi girl.

She is said to be beautiful, hardworking, and a virgin. She's also just 11 years old.

This advertisement -- a screengrab from an online marketplace used by ISIS fighters to barter for sex slaves -- is one of many Abdullah Shrem keeps in his phone.

I'm sure there will be no outrage over this among liberals, there never seems to be when it comes to Islam, just Christianity.
What Barbarians! Why everyone knows the market value for a girl is at least $10,000.

But there are a few on this site and elsewhere who say they are the same as Christians, aren't there?
ISIS and folks like you are the best argument for atheism.

You remind me that cataracts are the third leading cause of blindness. Religion and politics being the first.

Don't forget the Arab slave trade!

ISIS barbarity:
dropping into sulphuric acid. tossing off buildings. setting fire to people in cages. crucifixions . heart eating.
torture for cigarette/cell phone possession (Mosul). Mass executions/beheadings -putting heads on pikes. recruitment of children for suicide bombing
ethnic cleansings...historic site destruction (wanton)...

these are routine -not extraordinary....There is no force on the earth that compares to this

Meh...pikers. Read about what the Catholics did in Mexico.

What have I said or done to make you say that?
Your religious bigotry. Christian History is littered with murderers bearing crosses and thieves holding Bibles. Do you condemn all Christians for some of the most horrific mass murders in human history? No, yet seem all to willing to condemn all of Islam for the terrorism and wars of a few, that are evil to be sure, but also child's play compared to the evils of past Christian history.

well torture is as old as mankind
but on the planet now ISIS would be the most depraved.
It's the current "radical ( don't say Islamic) violent extremist" winner.
oh no and the U.S. under the George W. Bush administration had absolutely no blood or their hands and never tortured anyone and those tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis didn't die from collateral damage from the U.S. immoral invasion of Iraq but died from embarrassement at annoying the greatest nation on earth.

Just stop it, stop it now. Quit playing the holier than though hypocrit.

So it's the no high horse gambit lol.

Does that mean we are no better than ISIS?

who are you ranting at? Xtians? or the USA? or Bush or all?
We waterboarded, and stress positions. It's indefensible torture, agreed.
we went to war with Congressional approval in Iraq, and we went to war without it in Libya..all were bad ideas that produced "blowback"
All killed innocents

But these are not ISIS levels of depravity either. There are circles of hell and there are 'worse and worser'.

Because, historically, that whole population constantly boasted its 'Christianity' as you know, just as do their real and ideological descendants still do (of whom the very many black ones have a rather better claim to the title).

As with the Nazis, the perpetrators were all guilty, but it was the scum in the South who made the institution racist and vomitous, as you know.
