“Trump University is some [of] the best money I ever invested,” wrote Ryan Maddings in one of the evaluations for a 3-day Trump University retreat in 2008, one that Trump’s legal team points to in their motion as an example of “students [who] were very pleased with TU training.”

“It was a lie,” said Maddings, an ex-marine now 32, who told The Daily Beast that he racked up around $45,000 in credit card debt to buy Trump University seminars and products...

Maddings said he was told to max out his credit cards. “It was a con. I’m 25-years-old, barely making $3,000 a month and they told me to increase my credit limit. I just maxed out three credit cards and I’m supposed to be able to qualify for loans to buy real estate? Those stupid principles have led me to borrow $700,000 of other people’s money and lose it all. I’m still paying off some of that debt to this day.”

It's easy for students to be all enthusiastic and upbeat when they're surveyed immediately after taking the class, but the true evaluation comes if and when they actually make money from what they learned.

I wonder how many of the "success stories" the Trumptards claim there are are just like this one.

So true

How many men and women are walking around with college degrees and don't have decent jobs today or don't make it in their chosen field.....

How many blame the schools they went to for their failures and

how many are still trying to pay off those student loans they racked up.....

according to this article only 17% of graduates had jobs and around 50% felt college prepared them for work.

Trump U had a refund rate of 33% and a complaint rate to the ftc of less than 1% Its already performing better than regular college.

That Trumpgrifters U. actually issued refunds to 1/3 of the enrolled is telling. No real school does that.

The numbers show it is BS.

The AG of NY says 5000 people are involved in the lawsuit.

of the 6700 people who actually did Trump u. only 33% or around 2000-2500 asked for their money back and only less than 1% complained to the FTC.

Basically they ask you to believe that almost half the people who filed suit didnt bother to ask for their money back and almost all of them didnt file complaints. Rational people do both while filing for a lawsuit.

"Only" 33% asked for their money back? Why did anybody want their money back if this school delivered what it advertised?

because it didnt work for them?

No school or seminar guarantees success. Im amazed they even got their money back but thats another discussion.

No it's not sookie. It's this discussion.
Why would any school give tuition back? Because Trump U was a con game and they were caught at it.

It seems a majority of people who took the course were happy with it.

Like any other educational experience some people will not be able to get it to work. Only 17% of college grraduates have a job getting out of college in 2014 for example.

Where in the world did you get that number from?
