What does that have to do with Christianity?
that has to do with everyone.....
What does that have to do with Christianity?
She's not religious but liberals like to proclaim themselves as compassionate, tolerant and open minded. So as Zap would say just another hypocritical tightie leftie
The Catholic Church says Jews can go to heaven.
Christianity also calls for keeping commandments, and avoiding evil, NOT caving in to the worldview.Christianity calls for loving thy neighbor and turning the other cheek, NOT shooting each other.
I disagree. I think hitting for any reason other than to protect someone from violence is un-Christian.
Partisan politics is now how we determine real Christians? How was this law or order handed down?
How do you determine a real Christian?
And Muslims.
I do too. And how could anybody justify spanking children yet criticize Muslims for "hitting a woman with a twig" or whatever they use.
How do you determine a real Christian?
lol.....everyone here who has ever mentioned Muslims hitting women with twigs go stand together on the left......
the only test I can think of to determine whether someone is a true Christian is whether they believe Jesus was the Christ, that is the incarnate deity who died to save us from our sins......its a bit hard to justify calling yourself a "Christian" if you refuse to believe that......
[al-Nisa’ 4:34]
If a woman rebels against her husband and disobeys his commands, then he should follow this method of admonishing her, forsaking her in bed and hitting her. Hitting is subject to the condition that it should not be harsh or cause injury. Al-Hasan al-Basri said: this means that it should not cause pain.
‘Ata’ said: I said to Ibn ‘Abbaas, what is the kind of hitting that is not harsh? He said, Hitting with a siwaak and the like. [A siwaak is a small stick or twig used for cleaning the teeth - Translator]
I do too. And how could anybody justify spanking children yet criticize Muslims for "hitting a woman with a twig" or whatever they use.
I don't really have a determination. I think that's between each person and God. I'm sure there are people out there that would tell me I'm not a real Christian because I didn't go to church enough or didn't openly praise and thank God enough.
Because we are not perfect I definitely believe that Christians act in un-Christian like manner at times, myself included. But that doesn't make one not a Christian.
And I think Zappa's "phony Christian" claim is just garbage because he doesn't like the man's politics.
I could give a fuck......is anyone here standing next to 'Ata' and Ibn 'Abbaas?......
I think it takes a lot of hubris to hold up oneself as a Christian while acting in a way Christ never acted.
I'm just the messenger. If you want to remain ignorant because of your agenda, have at it.
