Mother of "gorilla kid" dismisses matter as mere "accident".

Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
It appears both mother and child are black though the controlled media is making it tough to find out.

The mother of the 4-year-old boy who slipped into the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo on Saturday – which led to the animal being shot dead – has hit back against online critics who are criticizing her parenting.

Michelle Gregg defended herself in a now-deleted Facebook post, writing: "God protected my child until the authorities were able to get to him. My son is safe and was able to walk away with a concussion and a few scrapes... no broken bones or internal injuries."

Gregg continued, "As a society we are quick to judge how a parent could take their eyes off of their child and if anyone knows me I keep a tight watch on my kids. Accidents happen..."

I see nothing to indicate race. The video is not conclusive but the kid looks causation if anything.

I would imagine the zoo will consider putting up some wire fencing in addition to the steel pipes but little kids that age can move quickly.
Damn shame to have to kill the gorilla and Jack Hanna was correct to point out that while the animal was being generally protective he's easy to agitate and given his great strength, things can go bad fast.

I went to Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo many times as a child, but never had the impulse to enter an enclosure. That said, some are relatively accessible to the initiated brat, regardless of parenting.

I haven't been there yet, but I have been to many Zoos and never wanted to jump in.

What I don't get about this is why people are more upset the Gorilla was killed and the kid saved. It is easy to Monday morning quarterback this, but those on the scene and in the moment had to make a split second decision and I applaud them for putting a human's life over that of an animal. People that put the Gorillas life over that of the child are heartless.

Lots of kids, very few gorillas. Not saying it makes sense, juse answering your question.

It's quaint, but if you've ever been someplace nice like San Diego, you'll be disappointed. I recommend Point Defiance, because the location and setting is beautiful.

Another case in 1996;

An adult female picked the boy up and handed him to keepers through a door.
The worst weapons used were water hoses and the boy was fine.
No gunfire.

Lame thread. What a complete stretch to make this about race.

And the mother IS getting a lot of criticism, as is the zoo. But this is just one of those sad things that happens, and there is not much anyone can do about it. Every parent has one of those moments in their kids lives, when it just gets away from them. The zoo made the right decision, and should be commended.

Many times when primates are tranquilized the medicine immediately has a complete reversed effect and no telling what the ape might do in that circumstance. Jack Hannah has praised the zoo keepers for their actions in this instance. I agree with him. That said, the mother should have had more control over her precious child that just wanted to get in the water. Stupidity prevailed in more than one way, didn't it?

It is 100% her damned fault. It's quite common these days for parents to claim or admit no fault in the horrible results of their children's behavior. Sad state of affairs IMHO. What do you want to bet that the lawyers are already knocking her door down to get their piece of the multi-million dollar lawsuit they are already planning? As if damage enough hasn't already been rendered?
