Maybe you don't get out much, but a lot of Cubans don't claim Mexicans and vice a versa lol. One of my work mates is from Columbia and she considers being call Mexican an insult. There's a lot of native Central American [aboriginal?] blood in Mexicans whereas Cubans mostly came over from Europe. They share a lot of culture but they're separate people's in a lot of ways.

I thought the whole Cuban vs. Mexican issue was over Mexicans not liking that Cubans get asylum once they make it to America and Mexicans are considered illegals?
