North Carolina potty law!

Our nation is making huge strides away from Conservativism, especially social conservativism and I am very happy about it.

As things look currently both major party candidates think North Carolina should back off its new potty laws and would not support such measures.

In a few short years homosexuality has gained huge strides in societal acceptance.

Marijuana legalization is sweeping the nation.

We will never go back, we never do. The world is waking up. I know how these things work, I have been watching them for years. In the future we will stagnate again with our progress, things will sit still and very little progress will not be made, until...

BAM, it will happen again and another seismic shift will happen again. For now, or starting soon, those who fight to stand pat will prevail while the people need some time getting used to the changes and the new world. Its amazing to me to watch social evolution happen, I see my Conservative friends.. some slowly adjust to the new norm, always arguing... ok, NOW we should stop with changes, things should stay as they currently are, while others are always fighting to go back to an idealized past that never happened.

Its the ones who adapt to the new norm and agree its right, but fight any further progress that amaze me. They are always against change, until it happens, then they are okay with that change, but still fight the next one, until it happens... and so on and so forth...

Not my fault you refuse to have standards and are willing to accept anything coming down the line.

It doesn't, society always has and always will evolve and change.

Someone born a male thinking he's a female isn't evolving. It's stepping back. Someone attracted to a person of the same sex isn't evolving. It's taking s step back. And the list goes on.

No, only progress. Only things that make society more inclusive and better.

I've seen nothing you accept as being progress. Giving credence to some freak born a male that thinks he's a female (vice versa) is taking a step back.

used to be when someone talked about helping someone with that problem they were thinking about counseling.....

But you've been reduced to quibbling over restroom rights for the sexually confused lol. You don't see the absurdity in that?

Its part of the march for progress, the law is absurd but to fight it is not. You could say that the civil rights movement was reduced to the absuridity of quibbling over lunch counter rights for those with different shades of skin. The bathroom debate is simply a symptom of the hate and fear. The legislature took up a piece of legislation in response to an issue that was simply not a problem. There is 0 evidence that there is a problem with bathroom assaults in North Carolina or that banning transgendered people would prevent it from becoming a problem. The legislation was clearly born of prejudice and hate intended to provoke a group of Americans and make them feel separated from society. As a result, NC is suffering job loss and economic loss.

I simply do not care who is in the bathroom with me, and if I am concerned for my kids, I take them to the bathroom with me.

Think of the absurdity of the law in effect...

They are requiring a man, who is attracted to men, to use the bathroom with men, instead of using the bathroom with women, who he is not attracted to?

1) I did not say the individuals who are transsexual or gay are a step forward, I said society being kind to them and accepting of them and respecting their freedom IS!

2) How is it a step back to allow individuals more personal freedom?

3) We have always had men who think they are female and same sex attraction, you are right that part is not evolving, its simply the way things have always been.

Everyone seemed to be getting along fine until this came up lol. Selma, it isn't.

This is my point, everyone was getting along fine, then North Carolina passed a law. It was not an issue until North Carolina legislature and Governor decided to make it one.

They made it a requirement that a man attracted to men use the bathroom with your son.

This is not a civil rights movement. it's feeding into PC gone wild,, Do we need "bathroom laws"- assuredly not.

But do we need PC activists telling self ID'd transgenders that their rights depend on biological men going into the womens room? ..no

It's a solution in search of a problem.

But the crusaders need a crusade, so there's that lol.

There was no issue until NC decided to pass a law trying to legislate who uses what bathroom.

Then ended up passing a law that requires gay people to be in the bathroom with people they are attracted to, how silly is that?

ya there was an issue. Mostly it bubbled up from the crazed Universities where PC has replaced critical thought.
People don't want it -NC being a more conservative state passed a law ( which I agree isn't needed either)

But it's typical of how our society latches on to truly stupid stuff as "diversity and equality"
Stop doing stupid stuff . It's un-needed and unwanted.

Walmart’s transgender bathroom policy starts to get noticed as Target boycott blows past one million

What was the issue before the law was passed? Why was the law needed, why was it important to require gay men be in the bathroom with my 9 year old boy?
