I seriously dislike this. I do not mind her being on A bill just not this one. Pick any other president to remove. We are now in the midst of populist revolutions from both Trump and Sanders and the response of Washington is to replace the one populist president we have had. They could pick any other bill including george washington and i would be ok with it.

if it was hamilton an establishment figure i would not care. But its jackson one of the few genuine populists we have.

They all were and he was the one who started the american indian wars that along with the mexican american war (what i call the american wars of conquest) is what gave the US the base to become a superpower today.

If you are against jackson then give back california texas arizona florida and other states to mexico and the american indians and see how far you get.

Jackson was one of the very few nationalist populists and should not be removed.

There is no excusing any human being that opts to own another. Jackson will still be on the back of his bill.
Tubman will be honored on the front.

Legion "owns" you. He can get you to say and do anything he wants. You're more than happy to pucker up to his ass and kiss it.

Either stockpile the current $20 or use two $10.

I'd be surprised if even 1% of the country looked at the old bill and thought "so glad we have a tribute to populism."

It's currency. Who cares.

How is putting Tubman on a bill any more politically correct than putting anyone else on a bill? Is she not an American hero? Are our bills sacred, can we never change them?

Its amazing what Conservatives whine about.

One of Jackson's biggest things was opposition to a national bank... yet he is on the most popular of the national bank bills...? Hamilton was the creator of the national bank, yet you want to remove him?


I think this is more about prejudice than many are willing to admit!

they can put her on any other bill dont replace the one populist we have in the middle of an election dominated by populists (trump sanders)

Apart from keeping a fifty in my wallet just so USG can kiss my ass every day I don't much care. Only change I would like is killing the penny and one dollar bill. That frees up the cash register to have a home for dollar coins.

choosing someone to put on something new is not done for political correctness......taking someone off and putting someone else on because it will make some group feel better about themselves is done for political correctness........how long before we get a transvestite hero(ine) on a fifty dollar bill?.......

So, its because he was a populist and people are being swayed by populists lately? Silly reason for keeping a second rate early president on the money.
