Cirque DU Solei cancels shows in NC

There is no such thing as hypocrisy in liberal land. They have an axe to grind.

Of course they don't much give a shit about the poor people who won't earn wages

Now they can do whatever they please, but it is a sad state of our culture that everyone wants to make some sort of political statement. Apparently being queer is the new black for guilty white folk

Or perhaps canadians.

CIRQUE DU SOLEI CANCELS NORTH CAROLINA SHOWS OVER PUBLIC FACILITIES ACT... PLANS SHOWS IN DUBAI, WHERE GAYS ARE PUT TO DEATH... http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollyw...s-shows-in-dubai-where-gays-are-put-to-death/

I can understand them taking this stand in protest of the recent legislation regarding bathrooms. But it does ring hollow when they are okay with Dubai. If it's a matter of conscience then it should be consistant and not dependant on money.

Is it wrong to expect more from NC than Dubai?

If you do the wrong thing once, can you not later do the right thing?

There's that too.

The left is always on the hunt for the next victim of the white Christian male patriarchy lol. It explains why they let Muslims off the hook. The fascinating thing is they seem obvious to how transparent it is.

I am also willing to bet that Cirque will have more of an affect in NC than it will in Dubai.

So it's not a matter of principle then but rather politics. Got it.
Hope they return their whole troop after the duBai gig.

Its a matter of taking action when you can have an affect, and not necessary doing so when you cant. I do it all the time. If I cant win a case, even though I should be able to, even though a win would be the correct result I don't spend my money standing on principal, when it would have no effect.

Same with Coca-Cola and Microsoft. Both have major operations in countries where homosexuality and transgender identification can result in the death penalty yet nothing from them about those areas.

No, its a kneejerk reaction and joining a stream of people in order to make yourself more known.

I wouldnt even credit them with playing politics. I credit them with having a marketing team who saw a chance to bandwagon

Maybe, but that's Capitalism, right?

Personally I am glad they are doing it, and support more of that type of thing. Pressure should be applied to the backward states promoting this type of discrimination.

No, its about effecting positive change when you can.

Microsoft has major corporate offices in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. If you look at the laws of both of those, being homosexual or transgender can get you jailed, fined, flogged/whipped, or even the death sentence. Are you saying that shutting those down wouldn't have a major effect?

I'm sure a faggot like you would.

Considering the entertainment industry's very prominent role in promoting the 'gay agenda' to begin with, Im not at all suprised that they would boycott the state, tbh.

No, those nations strength is based on the wealth of the ruling party not the economy. They don't give a shit about the economy.
