time and again we've seen the courts dismiss liability claims against government entities for simply doing their jobs. how do you plan on holding them accountable?

It will be quite some time before the pipes are fixed you had better put criminals in jail concurrent. One effort does not impact the other.

The government can never be incompetent. Everything they do is wonderful. We just don't tax and spend enough. I of course pay my fair share and don't want to pay more. But others do not. And Bernie is going to fix it

That I do not have a problem with. If criminal acts were committed than by all means hold those responsible accountable but fix the water problem. If gross incompetence was involved by officials at the city, State or federal level then by all means fire them but first fix the problem not the blame.

I don't know how many times I've seen it happen in industry where the boss man fired key executives, managers or engineers because when something went wrong they were more focused on throwing people under the bus instead of fixing what went wrong and ended up doing more damage and wasting more money than if they had just fixed the problem.

There's a time and a place for accountability but fix the problem first.

No we should fix the problem. Change the pipes or install a new Water Treatment Plant, whatever engineering solution is most practical and fixes the problem. Holding people accountable and settling political scores can come later. There is a time and place for that but fix the problem first.
