According to this bill LGBT people in MS can be forced to dress a certain way. What do you think "sex-specific" means anyway?

  • Any person can establish “sex-specific standards or policies concerning employee or student dress or grooming,”

What corporations say is....if you want to work here, you will dress etc. etc.....

If you want to eat in this restaurant, you must wear etc. etc.....

If you want to golf at this course, you must wear so and so....or nor wear so and so......

You think these rules discriminate against a particular group ?....Who ? All Humans ?

Are you ignoring the part employee or student.....

Do you think its wrong for the state to establish a dress code for its employees....or a school to do the same for students ?

Is it wrong to establish gender base restrooms ?

You wouldn't mind your 10 year old daughter using the same facilities as the men would you ?

I think that my gender identity is nobody's affair but my own and the state has no business trying to define it for me.

That is a fair point. What if I was a man, and said, I identify with being a woman, and wanted access to women's lockers, bathrooms etc?

And of course it is.....I agree.....but that doesn't give you the right to FORCE everyone around you to accept your psychosis .....

Whether you imagine yourself a jackass or a polar bear or a space alien , is your problem, not mine....

I think anybody who identifies as the opposite sex has a sincere and serious reason for doing so. There is so much societal disapproval about transgenders, if not outright hatred and fear by some. If you read their stories most go through a lot of pain, anxiety and depression about the disconnect between mind and body. These people just want to quietly fit into society and live a life that's true to themselves. IMO who uses which bathroom is a very small issue to worry about, with little effect on most people's everyday lives.
