Desh - do you have an answer for Dude?

I'm genuinely curious. I see a lot of pro-environment people who make very little sacrifice, but are readily willing to sacrifice the jobs of many others.

Environmentalism isn't the only issue leftwads like Deshtard are all talk no action.

Should we assume then that you've done little to nothing personally on the environmental front, as you ask others to give up their jobs?

And recycling every week doesn't count.

you fail all the time due to assuming

I don't need to talk about what I do.

you evil people would just say its lying anyway.

why the fuck do you claim I'm not allowed to do so because I havent answered your stupid fucking meaningless question?

because you are such an emotional wreck you hate me for not agreeing with you and pointing out that you are not left leaning at all

Good rant.

I just find it exceedingly hypocritical that you would ask 10's of thousands to give up their jobs, so that we can make NO discernible difference to climate change, when you yourself are unwilling to change anything about what you do toward that end.

And this is typical of the pro-AGW crowd. A lot of asking others to sacrifice. If you're the left, I'm so glad that I don't align with you. I don't hate you, but I hate hypocrisy.

The thing that amazes me about the discussion on how to address climate change is that no one every talks about measurables. It's always more along the lines of "we have to do something."

For example, when Obama was pitching the stimulus, he talked about specifics in terms of end results - how many jobs would be created, and how much growth we'd achieve.

No one goes near that in the climate change argument. Because even the most ardent AGW scientists would concede that we can't make a difference in our lifetimes, or the lifetimes of our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren & so on.

sometimes stopping being stupid needs to be done anyway

I agree. And I think it's incredibly stupid to tell many thousands of people that they can no longer have jobs, because we have to "do something," even though that something won't achieve anything.
