Projection - looks about right....

I don't give a rip how often you call Hillary conservative...it doesn't make it so.

I understand you don't think she is Conservative, but her record is such. She is very supportive of big business especially the banking industry. She was on the board of Wal-Mart. She was very supportive of the war in Iraq and supported the Patriot Act especially the domestic surveillance elements. She only recently came out for expanded marriage freedom and supported DOMA for years. She is not as conservative as say, GWB. But on the spectrum of candidates her record is more Conservative than many former Republican presidents.

What is the difference between a democratic socialist and a socialist?

What is the difference between a democrat and a socialist?

In your own words please and not some Wiki link

What is the difference between a democrat and a socialist?

I have previously explained it to you... do you need me to do it again?

It is a ideological structure advancing a politically democratic system and a socialist economic system. It is basically the new deal. It is Democratic Socialism as opposed to simple socialism as distinguished from Marxist-Leninist socialism which does not maintain a democratic political system. It is anti-authoritarian bottom up socialism as opposed to authoritarian top down socialism.

It is basically what the rest of the world simply calls Democracy. It is the system almost all Democracies, except the United States generally adopt.

The basic idea is to use the Government to limit the power large corporations attain in a purely capitalist system. The power is removed from both the large corporations and the government. Its basically the America Thomas Jefferson envisioned when he said.... (actually said, not like your signature claims) “I hope that we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.”
~Thomas Jefferson

Think Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, unemployment insurance....

This must be driving you nuts, especially if she gets the nom. If its Trump and her, you have to decide between an admitted capitalist and a closet conservative. If it's sanders(whom I believe you prefer), you have to choose between an admitted capitalist and a certifiable commie nutball. Good luck with that.

So as long as I get 51% to agree with me, I can do whatever I want?

See Venezuela to see how your socialist dreams are panning out. All of that oil and they are fucking bankrupt. Everywhere your method has been tried, it has failed. The only reason Europe hasn't collapsed is

1) They have had the imprimatur of US military strength so they haven't had to build up their own defenses. Consider it military welfare
2) They have limited immigration. You see unrestrained welfare and unrestrained immigration is a recipe for disaster as the europeans are suddenly learning.

I prefer Sanders who is in no stretch of the imagination a Communist, you have confused Communism with Democratic Socialism, its very different. Look it up, you might learn something.

Between Trump and HRC, I chose HRC, she is committed to some liberal ideals, is a feminist and does not kowtow to the Religious right. HRC will appoint liberal judges if she wants support from her party in the appointments.

Trump, while ideologically might promote policies and agendas that are even more liberal than HRC, has a serious mental problem. He has an authoritarian side, temper, and arrogance about him that has yet to be seen in the Oval office (which is saying a lot) and would concern me when allowed the power of the presidency. Trump has an unstable side and an inability to see beyond his myopic space. He is so out of touch he was bragging on television this weekend about how humble he is.

1. No, you need 51% and be within the limits of the Constitution.
2. Venezuela does not have a Democratic Socialist form of government, however most of Northern Europe does. The United States since the 1940's, it could be argued, fits into the category somewhat. Scandinavia, Germany and France are the best examples.

And again just because the guy running for president is a democratic socialist, doesn't mean the country automatically becomes one if he gets elected.

When you say "The basic idea is to use the Government to limit the power large corporations attain in a purely capitalist system", what are Comrade Bernie's plans to reign in the evil corporations? Whats his plan to keep them from leaving if they can't make the profits they want to make? Do you think he might have to arm the noble proletariat like Lenin did? Maybe urge them to strike?

You say, think "New Deal", the new deal didn't work. What worked was a world war came along and nobody wanted to be speaking Japanese and German for the rest of their lives so they got off their asses and went to work(and yes, there was also money to be made). So can I sum this up by saying the basic difference between Marxist-Leninist socialism and democratic socialism is, the Marxist-Leninist socialists will say "put these draconian measures into practice immediately or we will put your bourgeois capitalist pig executives and their families(including the dog) in front of a firing squad, and send your imperialist running dog managers to re-education camps", and Comrade Bernie saying, "put these draconian measures into practice immediately, because this is the will of the people! Er... SOME of the people. Yeah, mostly young empty headed liberal college snot-noses with no idea how real world economics works, but the will of the people, nonetheless! Hey!...where are you going?! Did the people say you could leave the country for a better business climate? Did the people say you could lay off most of your work force so you can make a profit? Come back here!!! Come back here, or so help me, I'll...I'll...(quick, somebody get on the horn to Putin and ask him what socialists can do when evil corporations disobey the will of the people!)

You said that it is a combination of two things. Democracy and economic socialism.

It is clear they are socialist. It is clear they are failing.

What is the difference between an autocratic dictator decreeing free stuff and people voting themselves free stuff from an economic sense? How does that change the economics?

Awesome post. Almost makes me wish my thanks were turned back on
