Militia takes over federal building in Oregon

And far be it from me to not admit when I'm mistaken, ILA yes I see the quote from Jarod now. I'm probably getting over anxious to reply because this is actually the first thread I've started here.

Have you seen anything on national news?

Never mind, just showed it on TV

Will they call in the Guard? No police presence so far!

The fed should simply wait them out. They are spoiling for a fight, don't give it to em, they will come out when they get bored or hungry.

So now the right, which is usually off continuously defending everyone's God given right to track down and honor kill any black person who they believe has ever taken a piece of their property, is like "Oh dear! Have they harmed anyone?!" When has the right ever been concerned about whether or not actual harm has been done in criminal cases before? It's an utterly irrelevant question to the right. The federal government should use the castle doctrine on their asses. They're tresspassers and deserve a tresspassers death.

Yeah, what do they think they will achieve? They aren't going to get those people's sentence changed.

Patience is generally called for in these situations.

Give them some time, let em make their point.

And I don't care now, I'm just pointing out its not a first amemdment right to take over federal buildings.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Its ain't Ferguson.....but it could turn into another Waco if the government goes nuts like it did there.

Is that what you wanted to do in Ferguson when they looted and burned the town....???

Like at the Bundy ranch, you right it isn't Ferguson, the heavily armed police won't show up in force with riot gear and start shooting.

The son of the well known racist / freeloader rancher Cliven Bundy organized the armed insurrection...
Why am I not surprised.

Actually occupying a building is not an aspect of a right to assemble. That is what they used to call civil disobedience, it isn't an aspect of free speech or assembly. You don't get to take over buildings as a matter of course or right.
