They are eccentric, but they aren't legally insane. They have mental disorders, but it isn't the same as being insane.

And his erratic courtroom outbursts are designed to support any claim of mental incompetence.

He's laying the groundwork for an insanity defense.

The difference is the PP shooter has some obvious mental issues, and it certainly affected his actions; thats beyond debate. The only question will be if they were severe enough to render him unresponsible for his actions.

In contrast, the CA shooters were acting according to their ideology. Excusing them on the grounds of mental incompetence would be like excusing the Nazis of war crimes on the same grounds.

What's notable is his how desperate the left is to pigeon-hole the PP shooter into their white/right wing boogie man narrative.

Let's not forget that he had a CROSS in his cabin, that was made out of "twigs".

Everyone keeps wanting to continue to refer to this as "THE PLANNED PP SHOOTING", including the press, and yet; not one person in the PP center was injured. :dunno:

It's not funny but it speaks to Dear's state of mind. It's also indicates a lack of planning which fits with the profile of deranged shooter more than an actual terrorist.

Also, I like to know if they did a toxicology test on Dear. He arrived in CO along with the 'green Rush' when they legalized pot. Some of the new strains of pot are pretty potent and Dear may have been whacked out on it.

But that's not the direction the left wants the narrative to go in.

I don't understand the bit about the narrative. No matter if he was insane, drunk or drugged he admitted he wanted to attack a PP clinic.
