What the fuck is with the fear mongers on the right wanting to blame everything on Muslims? Is it the same idiocy as the those on the left who blame everything on Christians?

This is stupid. It is not left or right, it is simply ideology that drives hate and murder. To claim that only the right is responsible is tacit to allowing such hate to flourish in your own back yard. You are segregating people and you don't even realize it. You call them terrorists etc., but they are your next door neighbor.

This applies to both the left and right of American politics. Most Americans are sane, but the wackos luv to pound them keyboards. Please don't judge this country on what you read on the internet.

Under order of President Obama, the FBI redefined a mass public shooting in 2012. The definition used to be four victims killed with a gun in a public place. The Obama administration changed the number to two people. Some archives also dropped the requirement for the homicide to be in a public place and also counted the murderer as a victim. Those changes wildly distorted the statistics.

In fact, both the rates of violent crime in the United States and homicide committed with a gun have fallen to half their historic peak. The rates have fallen steadily over the last thirty years. The crime rates fell at the same time that gun ownership and concealed carry have soared. Gun sales doubled in the last six years… while crime rates fell.

Looking back, the average was just over four instances of mass public violence each year. By the old definition of four victims, the rate of mass murders has ticked up a few percentage points in the last few years. Many of those events are from muslim terrorists. Best not mention that fact on the news either.
