"Says who", you gotta be joking. Look at the price of food, clothing and shelter. Someone making $10K a year might be shopping at Goodwill, someone making $100K might be shopping at Nordie's.

Do you think someone earning $100K+ should get all kinds of tax breaks and shelters and end up paying nothing?

If the gov took 90% I'd complain, oh wait, they already did that in 1944, 94% for the top bracket, so it's not unheard of.

Yes there should be limits but I don't agree the flat tax is the way to go.

He thinks that it is a fundamentally fair thing because of that, but that doesn't make it a "Christian Nation"... He would also say that murder is bad because it is in the 10 Commandments, does that mean we should stop punishing people for murder because he would point to a bible verse? That's absurd. Is it fair? In his mind it is. I only think it is fair if we set a base limit.

As I said, every dollar you make up to (just throwing out a number) $50,000 is tax free, every dollar after that you pay (again throwing out a number) 22%...

That would be more fair.
