What Exactly Is Fiorina Trying To Do?

She just can't help herself, I suppose. Back she goes again to a show where ninety percent of the female audience, long ago, had made up their minds that they're going to vote for Hillary.

Fiorina should be talking to the American people, not just liberal women who wont support her on election day anyway. Now this makes twice she's wasted my time going on a liberal hag show called the View. Does this woman want a gender war? Does she think she can play the feminist victim card and get the nomination that way? Is her strategy after securing the nomination to spend the whole campaign in a hair pulling contest with Hillary over the ever, on going, women's rights issues?

This has been the familiar, on going strategy of the GOP. Capture Democratic voting blocs such as Hispanics with amnesty now the women's Dem voting bloc with the female victim card.

Conservative women ( and in my opinion, Fiorina is not a conservative but a GOP establishment player in reality.) should stay off of liberal hag TV talk shows because they are not impressing anybody especially the female victim entitlement crowd and concentrate on capturing the votes of all Americans with different ideas.

I have to ask how she wasted your time going on The View? Do you watch that show?

I guess if you watched the show, besides having to take a long shower afterwards, what did she say that you found offensive? Did she sell out her principles? First off it's the nature of running for President these days that one has to do the circuit on various types of shows for exposure. That aside there's nothing wrong with taking a conservative message to a liberal group. Republicans shouldn't be afraid to talk to people who are deemed to be more hostile to our views.

I agree with the OP. Fiorina's campaign is going in the same direction as Bush's; spiraling downward in flames.

Meanwhile, shifting my support to Marco Rubio. I like a Rubio/Cruz ticket. Or even a Cruz/Rubio ticket.

With the relative handful of converts she'll get for going back again, it wasn't worth it. Republicans have got to stop catering to liberal audiences and start staying focused. The days of the Reagan coalition are over. The Dem supporters want free stuff and the Republicans have got to offer liberty as an alternative.

There's a gold mine of non voters out there to tap into including disgruntled members of their own conservative base.

If a candidate only goes on Fox News or Mark Levin how will Republicans/conservatives ever get their message out to anyone new? Again, I don't understand the fear of talking to people who don't already generally agree with you.

What did Fiorina say on The View that you feel wasn't selling liberty? What did she say that you feel was offering free stuff?

There are plenty of people who listen to only MSNBC and PBS etc. that would be open to Republican views if they got more exposure to them. Those type of people aren't coming out to Republicans however Republicans need to reach out to them. That's what Fiorina was doing here. It's freaking great that a smart educated articulate woman is out espousing conservative principles to this show's viewers.

It's no different than Republicans and blacks. We can complain about not getting black votes but how often do Republicans reach out and make a real effort to win over black voters? Not that often. You can't expect results if you make no efforts.

And it is no different with Hispanic voters. Plenty of Hispanic voters share similar beliefs with Republicans. Republicans will not win them over however by calling them names and saying they are all criminals.

Back to Hillary, look at her poll numbers. She has huge unfavorable numbers from women, including Democratic women. It is great that someone like Fiorina is out offering an alternative to Hillary.

Her campaign isn't going downhill because she went on The View. And comparing her to Bush? Come on man. That's apples and oranges right there. Bush was this presumed favorite with millions and millions of dollars in backing before even starting. Fiorina started off with nothing and was on the JV stage during the first debate. She worked her way up to the Main Event debate and at one point was even in fourth place I believe. It seems she's peaked now but based on expectations Bush and Fiorina are two different animals.

Hillary is not as popular with women voters as most other women candidates would be. I've met plenty of women, who, regardless of ideology, can't stand Hillary, and claim they would never vote for her. Pretty much, the strong support Hillary still gets is largely a product of having been in the limelight for such a long time, being associated with her husband, and ultimately being perceived as the only legitimate contender from the list of primary candidates. Keep in mind that back in 2008, the fact that there was one other candidate who Democrats felt could easily win the election was enough to tank her (it didn't hurt that he was black).

Liberal women who watch shows like the view are not going to vote for republican women like Fiorina in any considerable numbers to make a difference. Fiorina isn't telling anybody something that they don't already know.

When are you so called moderate ( actually liberal) republicans ever going to stop trying to capture Dem voting blocs? fForina is better served avoiding the liberal feminist hag shows. Their audiences are not going to convert. No more than you're going to win by pulling republicans ever leftward while your admired leftists stay stationary without budging an inch rightward.

And I said nothing about conservative shows only, that's your BS.

Her campaign also hasn't been given new life by going on either, not once but twice now. And her campaign will continue to fizzle if she doesn't get off this women's rights yarn of hers and if she doesn't stop trying to appeal to the Dem party's female victim entitlement crowd.

So I'm a liberal Republican because I think conservatives/Republicans should take our message to all people? You're entitled to that opinion but I disagree. It absolutely makes no sense.

If you haven't been following the Demographic changes in America this country is going to be less and less majority white. Republicans CAN NOT win national elections with the white vote only. There is NOTHING wrong with taking a conservative message to groups that typically support Democrats. That's how you grow a movement. That doesn't make me a liberal Republican.

And how did Fiorina waste your time? Did you watch The View when she was on it?

Does it upset you that Republicans have a woman running? There was zero expectation of her winning the Presidency. If you are a Republican you should be happy there's a woman out there articulating conservative principles. Over 50% of voters in this country are women. So I'm not sure why it upsets you that she's doing this.

Actually, he's not entitled to his own opinion. Philly can go fuck himself.

Poor philly he can't stand the modern woman and hates any female he can't control by telling them to sit down and shut up.

When was the last time you ever tried to get a leftist to compromise with a conservative? Answer: never. You constantly want republicans to move ever leftward, never ending, because you are so in love, head over heels with leftists.

Leftists no longer have to do a damn thing except stay stationary while you liberal republicans heap praise upon them and it is you liberal republicans that are destroying your own republican party because all you do is kowtow to the left.

Conservatives like myself are the only ones who can pull the country back to the political center because liberal republicans like you are content in giving the left anything it wants, so great is your love for these cultural Marxists.

She's not a conservative in my opinion but instead, a republican insider in the first place. And by the way, have you yourself ever defended a conservative woman when these liberal hags start tearing them apart? No you haven't and don't lie and claim that you have.

Liberals have to compromise with conservatives. It's called the free market. Look at the San Francisco election last week where this liberal City voted down an 18 month housing moratorium in a neighborhood because even (some) liberals know you can't prevent prices from going up by not building. (just offering an example)

You didn't address what I said however regarding Demographic shifts in this country. Ignoring it doesn't make it go away. Republicans and conservatives need to spread their message. I'm not even sure what you're yelling at me about regarding kowtowing to the left and cultural Marxists. What is it you think I'm doing?

To help me better understand what about Fiorina makes her not conservative? (because from where I sit she seems to check all the conservative boxes to me) What conservative women do I not stand up for?
