Should we dump Obamacare and go for Medicare-for-all instead, like Canada?

As everyone knows Obama-care has had a pretty wild roller coaster ride of an existence and who knows where it will go. The question is however, is it even worth pursuing or should we do what our Canadian neighbors have been doing for years?

political.com asked the same question to their viewers and there were some interesting comments definitely worth taking a look at.

Let me know what you think.

I have always thought it would be the best option.

Yeah sure, lets turn a now bankrupt entitlement that people paid for and bankrupt it faster and harder. Why not leave:it to the professionals ?

Well, if you like mediocre healthcare, waiting on long waiting lists for things as mundane as acid reflux or knee replacements and paying much higher taxes for such mediocre results, then yes, you will love the Canadian system. Of mediocrity.

Anyone who gleefully desires to become a depenedent ward of the State is an unthinking dunce and historically clueless.

Of course you do; you mistakenly believe Government is good. But ironically, only when YOUR "deciders" are in charge.

I'm always amazed by Americans who want to become dependent wards of the state. It is proof that our educational institutions have failed us and we learned nothing from history.

I wonder, has Canadian life expectancy changed significantly since this healthcare scheme has been instituted?

I just looked it up life expectancy has increased from 76 to 81 since the national healthcare bill passed in Canada.

How do you know anything about the Canadian system?

Your idiot claimed to be the "decider". You don't get to use that to insult liberals, moron. What a dumbfuck.

Life expectancy is not a good marker of how well healthcare is delivered. Too many confounding factors. It is as bogus as a statistic as infant morality rate. Now if you want to compare healthcare systems, you need to look at something that can be directly died to the delivery of care. But, is there such a thing? Hmmmmm. Let me think on it. Oh yeah, there is. Look at cancer survival rates.

Compare cancer survival rates with your precious socialized medicine countries, and you will find the USA comes out on top by a wide margin in a variety of cancers. Now of course lefties can't stand that so we will tear down our system and fuck it up for everyone

The same way anyone with a brain larger than an earthworms; that would exclude you however. ;)

But I do happen to have a LOT of Canadian friends and close associations because I lived, attended school and worked with them in Europe.

Dear fat ignorant dumbass; I can use it in any context where it fits. Put a sock in it shit-for-brains. Your glaring stupidity has no peer.

Do you really think a dishonest leftist dunce like Jarod cares about mundane things like the truth, facts and reality while promoting a failed partisan agenda?
