Legal weed did not end the world! Democrat exclaims!

Here is the problem the Republicans are having on the marijuana issue. They cant be for it without losing the Religious and Social Conservatives, but they don't want to be outdone by the Democrats who appear poised to do it.

Also, too, I love how right-wingers think that on this issue Obama can ignore federal laws passed by Congress and do whatever the fuck he wants but on, say, Obamacare delays, he's acting like a dictator.

Which is it, folks?

LMAO... keep on apologizing... make some more excuses for him

Who do they have? None of their possible presidential nominee's are any better.

Many argued that the Feds would be busting users in Colorado. I tried to explain to them, why even if they wanted to they would not be able. Not even Mitt Romney could have stopped it. But these people are too caught up in partisan squabbles to see reality.

Democrats have been quite bad on the subject and have shown little courage. They have, however, shown a willingness to bend to the will of the people. Meanwhile, the Republicans have been more obstinate. They will come around eventually too, but there will likely remain a large minority of them that are obsessed with avenging their culture war losses. Some of them are still arguing the Civil War issues, after all.

Leadership on these issues never has and never will come from a vote grubbing politician. They will only come in once the change is unavoidable to claim credit and build themselves a statue. If Republicans were smart (imagine it's a sci-fi/fantasy world) they would quit worrying about the unearned credit Democrats will take and they would start rushing in to grab some of their own.

You have no clue. Conservatives smoke as much weed as anyone. It's not a liberal thang

I have some real nice "purps", some Alaskan Thunderfuck. You lefties don't have a clue as to what is going on. Went to a tea party event and the first speaker talked of legalization a couple years ago.

I agree they smoke it as much as liberals, yet more of them are for keeping it illegal.

Nope. We want it legal without the govt involved. The dems want tax money. We want to be free to grow our own without being taxed. I am a medical marijuana patient and grow. I pay $150 every year.

Then explain to me why the blue liberal state of California does not allow legal pot sales???

California Proposition 19 (also known as the Regulate, Control & Tax Cannabis Act) was a ballot initiative on the November 2, 2010 statewide ballot. It was defeated, with 53.5% of California voters voting "No" and 46.5% voting "Yes.

All in good time. California will legalize before Texas, Mass. before Miss., D.C. before South Carolina.

Please note what party is more actively supporting this...

Hickenlooper was dead set against it, and the legislature refused to take it up. The parties both were for the status quo. The Governor was against it because he owns bars and thought he'd lose money, but the rest of the party was lock-step with him because they wanted the status quo.

This took a proposition from the voters in CO because the party in power refused, this magical support you think was there wasn't.
